Don't believe reports when we're about to buy someone. Believe reports when we're about to lose out on someone. I think I've summed up your philosophy quite well there. Exactly, was just going to post the same. Whilst I was getting a little excited about him coming due to the hype surrounding him, the fact of the matter is he was always going to be a luxury. It would of been by no means a necessity with the amount of wide players we already have. If by missing out on Moura means we end up with Isco and a CM i'd be much happier with this scenario. Who knows though, as the quote says above, we automatically assume the worst when it comes to linking our so called targets with other clubs, this could well be another load of bullshit and we could still end up signing him.

erm, could I point out that with Nasri, Hazard, Sneijder, Moura the talk of us singing them was bollocks, the eventual news we had missed out 100% of the time was correct - the same with Moura, talk started sunday night he had signed for PSG - true.
When there is a buzz of rumours about man united failing and then actually singing said player maybe ill change my philosophy. In not one case has there been a general consensus that man utd have failed and we've then got the player on the other hand there are stupid amounts of occasions where we've ''won the race to sign (insert name) ''and we havent. (in most cases in fact)
I would suggest my approach is the definition of logic.

Fergie has publicly announced negotiations for Moura and Van Persie, therefore they are transfer targets. If we don't sign one or either of them, then we've missed out because the club won't pay the price required, because the player does not want to come or because we have changed our minds. I expect Fergie to be embarrassed and angry if we don't get them, because we'll have missed out on at least 3 of our main summer transfer targets. As far as rumours being leeked by the club, they aren't leeked in press conferences by the manager, thats confirmation, they're leeked or made up when appear as genuine sources in newspapers. This could be quite embarrassing for United because we have obviously been the most keen all summer.

We are the most keen but Once again it boils down to greedy money grabbing agents. Too much time is being spent trying to lure him to OT. We sign him we sign him, we don't then I'm sure I'll still sleep like a baby.If players want to join for the money over the badge then they are signing I don't want to see at the club, they are signing for the wrong reasons. That's a choice rvp will have to make if he really wants to join. Lower your wage xpctations and you'll do something you haven't at arsenal and that's win plenty of trophies.
This moura shit is getting really boring. Even more so than the Sneijder BS. Granted most are rumours but if rumours are out to go by then he's off the France. Goes to show his expectation in football going to a shite French league instead of one the best league in the world. His lose I guess if he does.

The bottom line is for whatever reason this shitebag was not the right fit for the club. We all would love to sign 5 galacticos this window but if it doesnt happen it doesnt happen. 35 MILLION for a relatively unproven player at 19 is pure madness in my opinion. Glad we are not signing him. We could probably sign Van der Vaart for 8 million............Need I say any more. Let him be Ibrahimavic's rent boy. I care less.

For 35m we could pretty much get RVP and Christian erikksen. 2 proven players in Europe. The more this goes on as said in the previous post, the more I hope he doesn't sign.

As I said earlier, I don't think we were ever in for him. I reckon Fergie fancied him at like £14 mill, but agents messing and Sao Paulo getting over excited put it up to 30+, which is ridiculous. If he goes to PSG for 38 mill, then they are the biggest mugs on the planet. I want us to back off entirely and let this guy flop.

Am i the only one that thinks it odd that we are led to believe that the club is adverse to paying excessive agent's fees (unless he is a dodgy Portuguese super agent) and yet we would attempt to buy a player that is part owned by an agent?

I wanted this guy, just like i wanted all of the other 'near' misses of the last 24 months. its sad to see whats happening with our pull in the transfer market, esp. when SAF is essentially having to put his stamp of approval in such an open way on these transfers, yet they still fall through. and as for the idea that the 30 mil (which some don't even think exists) will be spent, i'm no longer putting my hopes up for that. I'll try to resist the site trolling now, the closer to the season start the less annoying this will become, hopefully.

a look at few last pages and one would think that we have lost out on Neymar or "Next Messi" or that United is dead. First it was --" fuck another 19 year youth-- why can't we get established players"
Then it was " like he ain't Neymar or Oscar but the you-tube vids s great lets get him for 20-30-45- wait a minute why not for a half a billion , sure that RM will pay a billion in 4 years". and BTW we would have won 4 Champions League, PL, FA CUP and all in that time with moura in that we can sell Nani, Young and may be include Rooney and Welbeck too.
Not to forget that we were cursing City and Chelsea for inflating the market which SAF does a wonderful job of reminding every now and then and also fattening the Agents Greed and Purse Strings.
Then comes the usual Glazers fucked us, are raping us( actually this is omnipresent).
I will say this AGAIN( SIGHS) he is a luxury buy. We inquired, that's it, no idea if we even went back or raised our bids. A guy who wants to be involved in a project and says that its Boring in Manchester is Unwelcome, no matter how talented he is or may become. I will take 11 players who are average buy play for the club any day then such Prima Donna's. He come he comes if not then move on. His coming or not will in no way stop the Glazers from Raping the club.
Till Hope decides to move on to another target to fuck with , we will be putting up with this shit Get used to it. But for Godsake don't say that we need to pay stupid Agent's fee for a 19 year old or pay 40-45-50 Million. When we get Messi and if agent's come in picture then i will jump onto this wagon. Stop this gloom parade peeps. The season is about to start.

I want new faces to improve us but no way bending over and taking it up the gick off these cunts.
