Apparently he impressed on trial at United, so the club decided to buy him for an initial fee of £100K.
I'd say that fee may rise if he does well, probably add-on's, extra money to Exeter etc.

United took him to the AEGON Future Cup on trial earlier this year.

By the way, there was a slight reference to Sean Goss in the General thread.
We've bought the kid now, so this is the correct section of the forum. Hope the young man does well.
Thanks for the info SET, didn't realise that.

Wonder if that rule has been lifted saying you can sign players who live longer than a 20 mile radius away or whatever it was. Saves us having to buy kids a house every time if so

Hopefully a return to the days of us getting most of the best young British talent from all over and bringing them through as in the 90's.

Whats strange to me is that this is just a casual youth addition for the long term and, just because it's fallen into the transfer window, it's all over the papers. This kid must be wondering what on earth awaits him at reserve matches!

Yeh 90 minute rule is gone as of 2012-13 season, I assume Bestie is right as that meant after July 1st? All part of the EPPP plan. Its easier for us to poach now, no more compensation tribunals but set tarrifs. Premier League clubs got pissed they were paying large amounts of money for youngsters when they also send a lot of funding down for youth development. Essentially we had the lower leagues by the balls and its better for us now. But at least it will mean it'll be far easier and cheaper for the best kids to end up at the best academies.
