Support Rafael! Rafael has come under heavy critique after his error in the final of the Olympics and the Brazilian federation have singled out Rafael as the culprit to blame for the defeat to Mexico. www.sambafoot.com/en/news/34427_brazil_fa_blame_manchester_united_defender_rafael_for_mexico_defeat.html?I say we should show our support for our young fullback by doing what I did two years ago. Buy a shirt with Rafael's name on it. Or at least make a chant that can be sung in support of him during the opening weeks of the season. He must be very disappointed after the olympics and I think the fans should do their part and support and build him up again so that he can get back to his very best as quickly as possible.

Nice sentiment mate, but to hell with buying a shirt. Uncle Malc would love that campaign if it takes off!

Buy one off the black market then. Or download one. Whatever. Knit it youself. Employ a granny. Be creative.

pretty sure that once he starts playing for Us again, he will get into the groove. With him overlapping Tony V and going forward, fans will be chanting his name soon Moc. Chin up

Fuck buying a shirt. Christ, do you work for Glazer!
Rafael has fucked up twice on massive occasions recently (Everton & now the Olympics). I hope he cuts that shit out because otherwise he's a good player with the potential to be great.

And I love this "don't buy a shirt because of the Glazers" bullshit.
What next? Don't go to Old Trafford?

I didn't forget, I didn't count it as recent. He also totally fucked up against Bilbao but that was in the UEFA Cup so I couldn't in good conscience count it as a "massive occasion".
EDIT: Buying official club merchandise puts money directly into Glazer's pocket. Doing that feeds the theory that they can make leech money out of supporters. Never mind that prices for replica tops are a joke across the board and I'd question buying one even if we didn't have the Glazer family as owners.
Actually going to Old Trafford is slightly different, that's about supporting the team and players. Giving the owners ticket income is the negative of it but it's one occasion when the negative is outweighed by good.

Best would be to put him on the wings, that way the excitement will always be in the Middle.

Yeah I got sick of not buying shirts. I want to show my support for the team. The Glazers aren't going anywhere either way so I'm not going to let them stop me supporting the team.

My shirt from '99 is also too small. You what I did? Bought a retro top from Toffs. Much cheaper and no money to Glazer. This isn't me saying "look how diligent I am in not giving money to the Glazer's" by the way, this is my way of suggesting more positive ways of "dealing with it".
