If you're an ownership situation realist like me you'll realise that you not buying merch won't affect anything other than maybe hurting the club ever so slightly. If less people buy merch the Glazers will still be there but we'll be slightly worse off as a club.
It's a nice idea saying lets boycott everything and drive them out but it hasn't happened so far and won't happen in the future.

Buy one off the black market then. Or download one. Whatever. Knit it youself. Employ a granny. Be creative.

I support the lad, its not his fault alone that Brazil lost. Come to think of it, Brazil had 89:32 minutes to get 2 goals, but their fabled front 6 fluffed their lines, cannot blame rafael entirely.
But the lad needs to keep his focus up at all times. He has fucked up on many an occasion.

Fuck buying a shirt. Christ, do you work for Glazer! If a fan happens to shell out his hard-earned on a shirt, then that's the individual in question's perogative to do so, regardless of mine, yours or anybody elses point of view.

There's a difference between buying a shirt for yourself and imploring others to buy the merchandise.
My personal perogative happens to be, "Fuck buying a shirt."

Rafael had actually had a fantastic campaign up to that point unfortunately. But as to what the Brazillian FA were thinking is beyond me. I think Rafael suffers a bit from what I call 'Silvestre Syndrome" whereby his mistakes are nearly always incredibly costly. I think he can improve his concentration but not sure if he doesn't have a touch of the Silvestres. Some just are born with it.
Purely by co-incidence, Rio has the exact opposite where nearly every mistake goes unpunished by fortune or incredible defending by his partner in defence. Strange.

Well, I don't think people should lecture others on how they should go about supporting the club. If you feel so strongly about it then I salute you for it, but I don't agree and I don't think it's necessary to react like that to the suggestion of supporting a player who is going through a rough patch. Do as you like. I couldn't care less if you didn't buy another shirt for the rest of your life. Or any other clothes for that matter. Then you can run around naked and blame the Glazers for the bad weather.

Not to be confused, of course, with the 'Wesley Brown Phenomenon', whereby early in a player's career if an own-goal is conceded it is invariably off the suffering player's arse or knee or something.

Im still willing to stick by rafeal , but am growing tired of rash challenges and stupid mistakes.Glad to see brazil go down. I already have my tea towel jersey with kagawa on back Figure he will get 10 goals.Im a sucker I get a shirt every year this one is getting mixed reactions from fellow yanks [cool to thats a soccer jersey?}.The white one is classy but looks like something a waiter would wear.

Alright, alright - let me be clear about this shirt thing.
The MAIN reason I haven't bought them recently, despite mentioning "Uncle Malc", is simply that I find them too expensive. £50 this year. Fuck that. Having said that, I had both of last season's shirts as they were bought FOR ME as gifts. I'm an accessory to Malcolm's crimes!
In an ideal world, sure, noone would buy 'em and it'd impact on Glazer's wallet. Reality is that it's not really going to make a difference.
But the above posters are correct - the decision to buy or not buy is the individual's.
So let's get back to the matter at hand and the whole point of the thread - supporting Rafael! What dya say, eh?

Yeah, haven't brought a shirt since the 2007 one before we won the European Cup. Ironically, the one I brought before that was the 99 one, also before we won the treble. I'd say me buying this year's away-kimono could be considered an omen...
That said, I'm not taking the flack if we win nothing:)

Not as effective seeing as there won't be a contingency of Brazil fans at any of our matches.

yeah he was kat in that game but some people give up on players too quick. What about Neymars performance, more like robinho than ronaldo. I don't buy shirts anymore because its a waste of money doing it every year and this one particularly could double for a picnic blanket.
