Because I regularly have a stand-up set on in the background at work, I got to wondering who we all like to laugh to.
In no particular order, a few of mine, excepting the old standards like Peter Kay or Billy Connolly, would be:
Ross Noble Steve Hughes Reg. D. Hunter Bill Bailey Rich Hall Tim Vine
Who're your favourite stand-ups?

Michael McIntyre. Love his stuff. Defo, went up to cardiff last week to see him live. Amazing stuff, laughed the whole way through it. dylan moran, frankie boyle, ed byrne, basically everyone on mock the week and most of the guests i laugh at these days Is that still going anymore? Not watched it since Frankie left. Used to love MTW but kinda lost its edge when Frankie left the show. Used to like that Milton guy that was on there occasionally. Few other personal favourites Jimmy Carr Frankie Boyle Lee Evans Chubby Brown Peter Kay

Can re-watch George Carlin and Louis CK time and time again.
Jimmy Carr, because he's offensive in a clever way, in contrast to Frankie Boyle, who just tries to offend for the sake of offending. Needless to say, I don't find him funny.
Love Rich Hall.
Would Tim Minchin be classed as a comedian? If so, him too.

Oh Chris Rock is pretty funny as well. Aziz Ansari isn't half bad and Omid fuckin Djalili is a beast.

Eddie Murphy's old stuff, Pryor, and also Bill Hicks.
Tim Minchin counts, I like him too.
For a one-shot, Nick Doody's Clown Song is hilarious.

Oh yeah, some good names coming out here, I like these picks lads.
Agree Frankie Boyle is offensive for offending sake. Funny once but then boring after about a minute. Lee Evans is hyper-active and annoying, I find.
Another name: Lee Mack.

Michael McIntyre. Love his stuff. Wholeheartedly agree! Missus and I always find ourselves laughing our arses off to this guy. Russell Peters was funny too. Not too sure if he has any new works, but his old ones are great. Jake and Amir - or generally CollegeHumor videos are also really funny. Anyone from South-East Asia or who understands the lingo might find Douglas Lim, Kumar and Harith Iskander funny.

Chris Rock, Pryor and Hicks are good shouts. I'll add Dave Chapelle to that list.
Sean Lock, Dara O'Briain, Jack Dee and Frank Skinner are all good too.
And could someone please tell me I'm not the only one that just doesn't 'get' Stewart Lee. I just don't find him funny.

I know he gets a hard time for basically Scousing all his material, but Denis Leary I think has pretty funny timing/delivery.

Richard Herring is fantastic, seen his new show every year for the last 5 years. Stewart Lee too, although not seen his newer shows.

Because of this thread I started watching Dave Chappelle's stand up on YouTube, which led me to Daniel Tosh - very funny. Check him out.
