0-1 Spurs, United failed to clear a ball bouncing around the box and it was just poked past Gollini, Spurs have definitely started better than us, more work rate in particular.

Spurs deservedly lead so far, we've lacked any real cohesion in our passing and have allowed them a bit too much time on the ball although they seem to have a quick team so maybe we're scared of getting too tight.
We got a bit better towards the end of the half but need to step it up in the second half if we're going to get back into it.

2-1 Wilson, great counter attack, just glided past the defender and the keeper and the ball crept over the line.

yeah. Love had a great game today. That 2nd goal would have been penalty anyway had it not crossed the line. But wht was Tottenham defender doing before trying to clear it going over the line  |

3-1 Wilson again, another counter, Love made a great run down the right and picked Wilson out who turned brilliantly and then curled a lovely finish past the keeper.

what changed from first half to secon half for me, apart from better performance obviously was fitness levels.... Spurs kids really looked knackered after 60 min

FT 3-1 Excellent second half, we came out with a much better attitude and really put them under pressure and then scored some very nice goals and might have had a few more. what changed from first half to secon half for me, apart from better performance obviously was fitness levels.... Spurs kids really looked knackered after 60 min They started really quickly and were closing down a lot so that seemed to take it's toll later on, especially as we made them work hard in the second half too so they couldn't rest, very good performance from us in the second half though. |
