Federico Macheda's agent has warned Manchester United he may leave Old Trafford in January if he does not get opportunities in the first team.
The Italian striker, who has had unsuccessful loan spells with Sampdoria and QPR, only made six appearances for United last season and is yet to feature this.
Macheda's agent Giovanni Bia claims he was asked to stay at the club despite teams on the continent looking to sign him, but the 21-year-old may not stick around too much longer.
"How can he be decisive for the team if he never plays?" Bia told ItaSportPress.
"Manchester United have some phenomenal players in attack, so it is truly difficult for Federico to find space. It's not true what they write in the English papers that he's going through a bad spell.
"He wants to play and if he cannot do so by January then we'll try to find an alternative solution. I will talk to Sir Alex Ferguson over the next few days.
"Federico was requested by German and Spanish teams over the summer, but the English club preferred to keep hold of him.
"I hope they understand the situation and let him leave in January, because it makes no sense to keep a 21-year-old on the bench."
------- Had his opportunities. If he moved on i wouldnt flinch one bit.

I'm very disappointed with Kiko's progress. He was very exciting when he came on and scored the goal against Villa and then went on to score a few more goals for us, but since that he's done nothing but netting in a few friendlies.
His spell at Sampdoria was a joke and the same can be said about his time at QPR.
I'd be sad to see him go though, because he's bound to rediscover his talent at some point, but I just can't see how we can justify keeping him in the club when he doesn't seem to be anywhere near a place in the first team.
He might even be behind Josh King in the pecking order now.

I'll be honest, other than a few glimpses of class he's never really convinced me he'd make it big at United, sort of riding the crest of the Aston Villa goal for ages now.
Still, he's so young still and it might be worth it to keep him around.

Put it this way, if Berba couldn't crack it into the starting line-up before RVP arrived and Macheda's not cracking it atm, whilst wanting to play so urgently (much like Pogba), then he should really be sold/loaned to a PL club or something.

He's (confusingly) rated as a 72 in FIFA '13. I'd play him.

I don't get a sense of arrogance from the article that others seem to, the agent himself states it would be difficult for the lad to get in ahead of the players United have.
The 'warned' in the first sentence is completely at odds with the rest of the article and is nothing more than typical journalistic lingo.
I find his situation similar to that of Berba before he eventually went - i do not understand the management at the club keeping hold of someone when clearly he isn't going to feature and doing so helps neither party.

He's (confusingly) rated as a 72 in FIFA '13. I'd play him. FIFA ratings (and similar live-action football games) can be quite baffling. I only trust FM scouts Please sell him for some decent amount of money, Ciao Ferderico.
