Retrospective title stripping I support. I do, deep down, think the awarding it to second place is a bit weirder though. I think when Juve got stripped of Serie A titles they just said it has no winner those years? Would anyone feel like we actually won that title in 17/18? I'd still see the post-Fergie period as barren as ever honestly. I'd like it for Jose but I don't think it'd change how I feel about that season or any others in recent memory. We'd still need to chase the title as much as ever. Anyway, it looks like if titles were stripped it'd only be the 2014 one that would go to the scouse - both 2012 and 18 are outside the period being discussed with City - so it'd only help the scouse match our 20 titles one season sooner anyway. I want it purely to see Mourinho's reaction. And Daniel Levy's, when Jose gets his job back

Btw, this is far, far worse than what Saracens were guilty of in rugby and they’ve been relegated for next season. The Premier League needs to wallop these guys. EXACTLY, Saracen’s were utterly kerb-stomped by RFU, this is what needs to happen to those ghastly,cheating,small-time fucks across the city. Relegation to Division Two would be lovely, and reassuringly familiar to a lot of their fans.😂

Seriously, this whole retrospective title stripping is a joke. It's like a trophy-cabinet VAR How is it a joke? A team entered a competition with clear guidelines. All the other teams adhered to these guidelines except one, which gained an obvious and unfair advantage in doing so. All their titles are tarnished beyond repair. You cheat to win things? If you get caught you should lose them. But you will still hear pundits and class A wankers claiming the rules are stupid and spouting garbage about how clubs need to do this in order to break the monopolies of the big established clubs.

Van Gaal lost his job on goal difference to City for a CL place.
During the period City were found guilty of breaching FFP. He should be feeling very aggrieved.

I have this horrible feeling that they still might walk away from this relatively unscathed...I know there is no logic to this but I cannot shake the feeling... Obviously I hope that I am wrong...

There is plenty of logic to it. UEFA/the Premier League have been pathetic in punishing this shit in the past. The two-year ban was a shock in itself. Seems like UEFA has its hackles up on this one.

Football was fucked the moment the top echelons in governing bodies were getting filled with corporate executives rather than people who actually care about the game.

I'm just trying to get a bit of debate here but do you not think some of the stuff he saying was kind of true, basically that clubs just have to accept there status in the game and that's it, he is correct about city without them spending what they did they wouldn't even be close to us, I totally get, the spend what the club earns, but that definitely protects, the big clubs who are already established.

I think the only way things will be fair again is if the league adopts the NBA/NFL style drafting and salary cap policy. The way things are , it's extremely corrupt and farcical.
