I still love Hughes but he has made it hard in recent years. He was, along with Robson, my idol growing up. Any time I start to get annoyed at him, I think of him stretching to score a stunning last minute volley, at Wembly, in an FA cup semi final against Oldham when the wheels looked like coming off our double bid and we were about to lose. That puts a smile on my face. One of my all time favourite United goals, that is.

I still have a soft spot for him, it's only natural. But boy does he seem to work hard at ruining my memories of him.
FFS, I used to pretend to be him when I had a kickabout - Him, Giggs (fucking hell, just typing that really hits home how old Giggsy is) and Cantona. But those memories threaten to be pushed out by the miserable groans of a bitter old man.

FFS Carbon - I get enough stick on sometimes, I don't need you spreading rumours of me hating Cantona

I would very much like Coentrao. Cannot understand why Real would let him go though. Ronaldo, yes, he seems dislodged there, but I've heard nothing about Coentrao. Maybe it really is the Portuguese thing with them.
What would Pat, Buttner and even Fabio do?

When i see 'reports' and 'suggest' in the same sentence i disregard it. We haven't a prayer of getting Ronaldo back in the first place if i'm being honest. We all know it.

The thing is you say that but I'm sure we must have some sort of first refusal on him or some clause in the deal we sold him on. Add to that the fact we want to get rid of Nani and could easily ask for £20m for him, that's a good £20m off a what, £80m price tag? £60m or so for a player of Ronaldo's calibre is a bargain in my eyes.
