If he kicks up enough fuss I think RM will get rid of him and they dont mind big losses especially if the player is rocking the boat.Bale would be the ideal replacement for him.
If he says he will only move to us I think we could get him back for around £50m, which would pay for itself in no time. There are if course other areas we should be committing that money to but I dont think Fergie could resist bringing the boy home.

Most probably will sign a multi million contract with Madrid. I think moneys the issue. 'Beckham law' is gone in Spain, it didn't affect pre-existing contracts, like Ronnies now, but will any he signs. So basically Real will have to increase their current offer by 25% to merely keep him on par to his current earnings after tax. So you can see why they'd be happy to stall out on a new deal for a while.

Thats the issue all right Fletch and the result of the issue is a pissed off Ronnie, add to that the other minor gripes he has with their fans, lack of promotion of the self that Ronnie is all about and we might just be able to pour some we all love you here honey in his ear?Come on man, we didnt pay all that money for Bebe for nothing lol

To say Ronaldo is posturing for money I think is incredibly unfair. We could have offered him a million a week and he still would have gone to Madrid, it was a childhood-dream thing. Now, he has gone to his childhood-dream club and it hasn't been what he expected. Real are second to Barca (mostly) even though when Madrid turn up they play some of the most entertaining football I've ever seen; he is considered by some second to Messi because of it.
He wants to be seen as the best in the world. He was here, he isn't at Madrid. Get on the phone Pat!

He's considered by MOST to be second to Messi because he is second to Messi.

You really think that's how Ronaldo views it? Get your nose out of Messi's arse.

I remember the sulking he done when iniesta was given an award after the euros.

Ronaldo needs to feel more appreciated by the fans and real's hierarchy as the best player in the world (alongside messi). Stalling on the new contract and absence of support with ballon d'or nominations show lack of respect and he has the right to be angry - he's been dragging real since he got there, not to mention shit loads of money he made for them.
He needs to come home!

The award is decided by journalists, coaches and international captains. Players and coaches will vote for who is the best not the person there told to vote for.

My point was about Madrid. We're talking about the tax on Ronaldo pays going from 24% to 54% with a new deal. That will cost madrid a fuck tonne of cash, I'm sure they are happy to stall and keep him on his current deal. That my theory on what the problem has been.

www.express.co.uk/posts/view/368388/I-still-love-United-says-Cristiano-RonaldoI STILL LOVE UNITED SAYS CRISTIANO RONALDO"CRISTIANO RONALDO has boosted Manchester United’s hopes of re-signing him by admitting he still “loves” the club that gave him the platform to become one of the world’s greatest players. But Real Madrid star Ronaldo’s enduring affection for United will not stop him from trying to dump them out of the Champions League in the last 16 – the first leg is in the Bernabeu on February 13. Ronaldo, who left United in a world-record £80million deal in 2009 to fulfil his dream of playing for Real, said: “I still have such great feelings of friendship and love for them. They’re a team that have done a lot for my career. “The fans know me well and I have a lot of friends there I keep close to my heart. Now I am defending Real Madrid’s colours. I want to score, and for us to win.” " === === === === === === === === === === === === === === === === === === === === This. Just. Won't. Go. Away. I can see it getting worse and worse as we get closer to the Last 16 tie.

I can see some of us getting very, very giddy over the next few months.
And then he'll sign a new contract worth a gazillion a week.
(I will say though, how wonderfully devastating would a front three of Ronnie, RVP and Wazza be?!)
