Adidas are saying the goalkeeper's shirt is in homage to the 1998/99 season. Actually a lot of people tweeted that Schmeichel's purple GK shirt is in fact from the 1996/97 season. From what I recall I'm almost sure that the purple shirt was worn by Pete in '97. Our primary goalkeeper kit in the Treble season was bright green. I know, I have one. Had the purple 'keeper shirt as well although for some reason always associate it with van der Gouw. Yeah I was thinking the same thing, picture big Pete in green for the treble. And the new home shirt, whilst I think it's nice and good to get back to white shorts / black socks, looks nothing like the '99 CL too, that had a white collar. |

Haven't ordered a home shirt for a few years now, mainly because the away/3rd shirts have been a million times better.
It is growing on me though. I don't mind the black crest as said above it stands out but its that fucking Chevrolet badge that I really don't like. Sooner we switch the better.
I will agree with others comments about adidas though, been pretty unimpressed by some of their designs, seem lazy. Their 3rd kits have probably been the best out of the bunch but the home shirts have been poor.
Must admit I do like that keeper shirt though.
Will wait to see what the away/3rd kits are gonna be like before I decide whether to order it or not.

Pity the team were awful that year which sullied them lol. Since that the kits have been piss poor imo, haven't bought one since. |
