What should he have said? I hope so cos this bunch of whoppers are gonna get fucked by Brighton on Saturday? I suppose he could’ve said ”Hopefully” but what’s the point if he’s lost faith in the fucks bringing him anyone else in as much as we have. Completely understand why his mind has turned to trying to get what he can out if the shithouses he has now. He’s not going to go Mourinho and start playing guys out of position and striking a miserable figure in pressers to try and get something across to the owners as he doesn’t feel it’s productive. Like it or not, that’s just not him. "I have all the faith in the world with the boys we have here but it's going to be a tough season especially without a proper break this summer. We absolutely need to strengthen the squad with signings. It isn't fair on the lads to demand perfect performances in 50/55 games. Their attitude and ability is second-to-none but you have to be realistic. We will get niggles and tired legs and those can affect form."You're right though, definitely nothing else Ole could have said.

Doesn’t answer the question of if the fans should expect any more signings, because we absolutely shouldn’t. I don’t EXPECT anything from this club anymore. What we would like and what we expect are two different things.

For those that have previously said’you can’t expect Ole to demand more signings’ Watch Chris Wilders presser from yesterday,he ‘s already signed 6 or 7 players & wasn’t afraid to say exactly what he needs & that he expects it to happen. The difference,he’s not desperate ,doesn’t feel the need to Protect his owners & knows that if they fire him, there would be long line of clubs looking to hire him. I took Ole’s presser yesterday as clear statement from him,he expects to be right in the mix to win the league & have a damn good go at every other comp, otherwise he wouldn’t be sat there saying he is happy with the squad he has & that he trusts them.

It’s far more likely that Ole will be sacked by February and thrown under the bus by Ed. There are at least 6 clubs with squads as strong or stronger than ours, and Ole is not a Klopp - he won’t make ordinary players play like superstars because he has no actual system or clear style of play.
If you’re going down, might as well take the people who’ve ruined the club with you.

His problem is he knows this is a one stop shop, unless wins the league or ECL he is not getting another top flight job & it’s back to likes of Molde ,if they take him.

His problem is he knows this is a one stop shop, unless wins the league or ECL he is not getting another top flight job & it’s back to likes of Molde ,if they take him. Thats about the size of it KS. And probably a massive part of exactly why he should never have been offered the job. It will always be impossible to dislike Ole, obviously. But the bottom line is he is a club man. A firms man. He is never going to kick Woodwards door off its hinges and demand signings. Ole is basically the guy who gets thrown in front of a mic after a game and bat away any questions about our serious frailties. Only taking hand picked questions at press conferences with answers straight from the United press officers script is tiresomely dull. He's playing the game and just grateful for every minute he can stay in the job. Ole is relatively comfortable with the situation because the pressure from the owners and the board is negligible compared to the pressures and expectations from the fans. The fans want to see attacking flowing football. They want to see investment that will enable us to compete with the Berties and the Dirties. Unfortunately thats were it falls down for the fans. Its patently obvious what Ole's mandate is. And that is to get in the top 4, END OF!. And the owners and the board couldnt give two fucks how he does it, so long as he does it. Its object achieved this season. We will no doubt go out of the champions league with a whimper, it would be folly to think anything else. Then we will kick on again to try and qualify again. It will take the spotlight off us finishing 30 points behind the champions again. And so it continues.

The club like to give every manager until the end of the season to get top 4. It’s absolutely nothing to do what they’d have to pay out for a premature dismissal. 😬

It buys them a season because he won’t make a fuss while they try and salvage the economic hit of Covid.

Reposted here to try & mitigate any alleged agenda, other than thinking OGS is a poor manager not worthy of the club!
Without wishing to sound negative, a win is a win & all that. We are coming up to nearly two years of Ole ball. Brighton are a better coached side than us,we seen that over the two games now,we have the better individual. We all know the DNA,rebuild,Sir Alex, mantra etc Other than hoping to hit teams at pace on the break,we still don't seem to be a team. Irrespective of the combination of the 11,you could on one hand count the amount times,we looked like a team with a plan & that plays to system that has been coached. Our passing is disjointed ,positional sense is poor & unless we play on the break, there is no pace or urgency to get men or the ball forward. Defensively we look completely all over the shop,DVB's agent said Brighton should have beaten us 7-1 at the weekend,he wasn't wrong. Pretty much every other red that has a view or opinion on Ole ,will always say the football under LVG & Jose was dire, this is much better,I've not seen anything other than a couple of games to suggest it's any better,I think it's worse. You look at the Vermin,Berties,Leicester, even Arsenal & Everton of late & even a complete novice can see that they are coached well & all seem know what they each other should & will do. I don't see any of that in us at all,we always look like 11 blokes thrown together who are hoping that the occasional bit of individual brilliance will win us a game. Can't remember which pundit said DVB was a panic buy/squad player, but I genuinely think that may be case,he sure as hell is not getting in the same starting 11 as Pogba & Bruno at the moment. I don't think Ole has the balls to bench either to get DVB a regular start. there is no doubting DVB's ability but I don't think he gets on Ole's best 11. Look at Ole's signings James,Maguire, Ighalo have been poor,AWB & Bruno decent, less than 50% strike rate. I am still of the opinion we need a manager with a track record of being able to coach a team at this level,I don't see any of that in Ole,he demeanour & lack of in game management is poor. I don't think Sancho has pushed for a move because he probably would not want to play for Ole,playing the way we do. Apart from the good vibe/family thing, I don't see anything that suggests we will be winning anything of note under him,if he were going to implement some tactical masterplan,we'd be seeing it by now & were not,it's as much a mess on the pitch as off it!

Liverpool will match our 20 league record and I expect we’ll be still debating about Solskjaer needing this , that and the other to get us to a certain level.
Standards have been shelved while some still think we just need more patience.

You can be Glazer Out,Glazer In,Woodward Out,Woodward In,Boris Out,Boris In,Trump in,Trump Out,just not Ole Out,the man is beyond reproach.
