Next time you want to make a point, don't use hyperbole. Also, what is this imaginary big sum you speak of? Have a look back and tell me what was the most we spent in a window and how much it was. I'll wait. Just went through transfer market and here are the figures we spent : LVG 14/15 --> £ 175.82 m 15/16 --> £ 140.4 m Jose 16/17 --> £ 166.50 m 17/18 --> £ 178.56 m 18/19 --> £ 74.43 m Ok its not 250 million , but still a lot of money for Europa league , FA cup and a league cup with shit football , and the worst part is we were left with a bloated squad filled with deadwood and players who doesnt even want to be at the club - which was my original point to Karma So not 250 million then? You do realize this club is Manchester United right? Spending money on players is something we should be doing year in year out? Big club and all that? And also that most big clubs in the world spend vast sums of money on their squad? Seeing as that's their primary job? You also do realise most of the deadwood were the same people Mourinho wanted rid of? But unlike the current patsy he wasn't willing to wait for replacements over 5 years? Also, he won 3 trophies so what are you going on about? You're looking at those trophies with disdain but we haven't won fuckall since then so where are you going with this? Because thats sort of the goal for this football club.

Because thats sort of the goal for this football club. - Like i said before i didnt say literally 250 million , thought i made it very clear in the post before. - My problem is not with spending big , of course Manchester United being one of the richest clubs on the planet should spend big , what iam saying is the returns after spending big is not good enough. Its not disdain for those trophies. - i remember Mourinho and his transfers very well , lets be honest they were nothing inspirational and mostly disappointing. Listing them here for a reminder - Bailly - error prone and injured - Zlatan - good short term signing , probably Jose's best signing - Lindelof - not good enough - Mkhitaryan - flop - Matic - decent , but at best a short term fix - Sanchez - - Dalot - bought by Jose , but hardly played - Fred - bought by Jose , hardly played only to revive his career under Ole - Lee grant - god only knows why he was signed - Lukakku - decent signing , not quite elite level we needed , had to be moved on - Pogba -
- Again my point being when we are the second biggest spenders in the league after city , i expect us to win few PL titles in addition to the ones we won. Or at least we should be having a squad capable of doing it , we got neither
- Also Ole waiting for replacement over 5 years ? thought you were against using hyperboles to make a point ! This is only his second full season , relax

I see poch has gone to PSG then, I suppose only time will tell whether we've missed a trick again! Although with us being joint top then it would perhaps have been very harsh to make the change....

I’m still not 100% sold on ole but we can’t fire a manager who is joint top on jan 1st
Let’s see how the season pans out.

Not sure where I read this now but apparently Ole has invited Giggs and Keane to meet with and talk to the players in the last few weeks...
If so it is an interesting development...
Edit: just seen it happened in November and he was quite pissed off with the attitude of one player...I wonder who that was...

I am far from convinced by him & still think his is largely winging it. For me has to win to the league this season or sack him in the summer or if we get to a point where we can't make top four this season. He does not deserve or should get another free pass this season.

I’m not his biggest fan and have called for his sacking before. But it’s improved. Give him the squad he wants. RW, CB, CF and let’s see what happens. He knows what shit needs binning too.
Some good articles on him this week about everything he is improving around the ground.
If we get past city and beat Burnley then a huge corner will have been turned

The table is very close and we could realistically be out of the top 4 within a couple of games if results don't go our way. So I'm just going with it at the minute and enjoying being very much in the title race at the beginning of the year for a change. Team is looking more confident every game and we do look like we can match anyone in the league going forward, still worry about us at the back though.
As for Ole, if he keeps us in the title race deep into the season he won't be sacked and so he shouldn't. Comfortably our best position in the league at this point in a season since Fergie, progress is being made and that is all I've ever asked of any manager who is seemingly underperforming.

To me Ole is a bit of an enigma, Iv said he needs to go in the past but the polar football we were playing a few weeks ago has become more consistent, if he can keep this going then great, who knows what goes on behind the scenes we can only guess but its clicked lately and you can see the players attitudes have improved a lot, I dont rate Lindelöf at all he needs to go along with Maguire eventually but his price tag will mean he plays each game, get the defence right and we will go places.

Just heard a stat. OGS has lost more semi finals than Sir Alex did in his whole career. Wow.

So for those who voted that Ole should leave the job, have you since changed your mind? Not so long ago I was insistent that he should be sacked but something has changed and things definitely seemed to have turned a corner so now I'm not so sure.

i was fully in the Ole out camp but after the turn around he has to be creditted. i like the reports from what he has changed around the ground too with bringing in specialists in the fields they work in such as physios, strength and conditioning coaches etc.
