tisk tisk
my sunday football team is re-entering the league in august/September so i'm going to have a crack at a 6 week pre-season laid out on the FA website. i'll include some lifting into it. i'm sitting in my house at the minute hungover from last night and feeling sick as shit, not liking it one bit, and i'd swap it for a good post-workout feeling without a doubt!

I'm a DDP yoga man myself. Never had the discipline to lift weights regularly as I found it too boring. I've been on this for 5 months now and it's worked wonders. I mean, it's not going to leave you looking like the Rock but it's not bad at all.

Blown my right knee and basically been prescribed intense Quads building to force the knee-cap/tendons/some other medical-sounding stuff into a better position.

Started lifting 6 weeks ago. Lost a fair whack of weight already. Only problem being my knees and hips are fucked from lumbering my carcass around for the last 10 years, so I can't do any squats or deadlifts which is bad times.
Gonna give the DDP Yoga a go soon. Just need to DL it.

Actually going to take up Yoga myself as apparently there is 'wasting' on my right quad, whatever that means. Probably from a previous injury I didn't realise about, the physio told me.
Yoga would be a cracking way of building up the leg muscles without hammering them with the weights.

Yoga is well brilliant. I've been doing P90X for 8 weeks now and I'm loving it. I've always been that 90lb weakling until I hit 30 and my metabolism turned on me. I'm not fat per se but I developed a gut and started to get pudgy. I've burned most of the flub off my legs and started to bulk up my upper body. The fact that I've got some triceps and shoulders and actually can start to see some definition in my pecs and abs is impressing the hell out of me. This is totally something I should've done way sooner.

Been slacking myself lately so getting bk into a routine, hitting the gym and got 5 a side running once a week now. Only problem Im finding is every week I can run ok (in bursts ) but as soon as I put my foot through the ball my quad feels like its pulled. Does my head in. Warm up plenty and im in the gym working them but cant seem to shake it.

Just need to DL it. My knees were battered before I started the DDP yoga. They're basically fine now. It's particularly good for your joints because it's zero impact. Obviously it's not going to work for everyone, but if you give it a fair go it could definitely help your knees and hips. And I've dropped 2 stone back to my proper weight which is a bonus.

Yoga is good. Been doing a combination of Yoga + Circuit Training + High Intensity Interval Training. Best thing is that i no longer have to go to the ++ section anymore. Huge relief.

Blown my right knee and basically been prescribed intense Quads building to force the knee-cap/tendons/some other medical-sounding stuff into a better position. before your big, HHH 2001 comeback and 20 minute ovation! good luck with that, will be tough no doubt you yoga heads should try Giggs Fitness, I bought his DVD last year and i'm a fan. it's part yoga, part pilates, especially good for football and running. it's a gateway for me into Yoga which I will have a crack at at some point. Let us know how the DDP yoga goes tat. I'm a DDP yoga man myself. Never had the discipline to lift weights regularly as I found it too boring. I've been on this for 5 months now and it's worked wonders. I mean, it's not going to leave you looking like the Rock but it's not bad at all. I've seen some of the stuff DDP can do, amazing for a guy his age. loving his work, he's an inspirational guy. did you start with the beginners course, has it been costly?
