Meh, we know this sort of thing goes on all the time. I don't think ANY newspaper source is reliable in all honesty.

Meh, we know this sort of thing goes on all the time. I don't think ANY newspaper source is reliable in all honesty. Totally agree but it is interesting how a blog suggestion (not even a supposed rumour) suddenly becomes a 'report' or similar and appears in newspapers....I know they have to sell papers but it would be nice (if naive to expect) if they could at least have some semblance of a fact about a story... We could all (and maybe should) make up such bollocks and put it in a blog....in fact what about a competition to see who's blog or twatter makes the tabloids first???

First thing I think when I see us linked with a player is: "There's another agent trying to increase the value of his client."
A story in the media about United being linked with a player is a bargaining chip to increase purchase fee, salary or other contractual details more than anything these days.
I don't know if we were ever going for Sneijder, but how the story unfolded and where he is now seems to suggest it was all agent talk.

Where's jay? #PhelantoBAGGIES!! Hahaha! Bestie, how that rumor never took off I'll never know, It actually made sense too. Perhaps if we have someone in Italy/Spain joining in to add credibility, e.g. #PhelanparaAtletico

First thing I think when I see us linked with a player is: "There's another agent trying to increase the value of his client." Unless, of course, that agent is Mendes. In which case A is still true, though the actual link might be slightly thicker than paper.
