Nobody dealt with that occasion that day. Two things though: We have a totally different team now, and the side that failed to deal with the pressure of the Munich Memorial Derby also won the European Cup in the Anniversay year. Yeah, weirdly enough the game itself left little or no impression after everything that preceded it.

Parky was a top lad - would play any role Fergie wanted him to without gobbing off to the press or on Twatter

Will Roy Keane ever shut his gob? A slough of articles on him in the Mail today. Most of them read as if he's trying to rewrite history. Especially his claims to have stood up to Fergie, and that when he ranted after the 4-1 Mboro loss to MUTV that the "lads" didn't mind him saying what he said. Yeah, right. I loved having him in our side, and I loved him making Vieira run in fear (as well as Keown and Parlour), but he really seems like a relic of a bygone age now. He's a psycho. I don't think his style of play would be tolerated today, it would be a yellow at minimum every match. I've always felt conflicted about Keane. I can despise the mad violence of a goon like Mascherano or Carragher (remember that hit on Nani's shin bone right below his knee? Didn't even get a goddamn free kick out of that one!), but have to admit we had our own loose cannon. These days, I wish he'd shut up. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2782486/Roy-Keane-told-Sir-Alex-Ferguson-need-f-furious-row-led-Irishman-leaving-Manchester-United.html

I can't stand the guy. I'll always remember the footballer, but Roy Keane the person can fuck off.

There's a section about him and Schmeichel having a drunken fight....And he blames Sir Bobby for not breaking it up. Bell end

When Fergie's book came out didn't Adrian Chiles ask Keane what he thought of it? Then Keane said well people come out with these books and say things and criticise players lol. Keane is doing the same now. He was a great player and leader for United but I think he's still very bitter over SAF.

He apparently felt happy someone got a heart attack so it drew the public eye from Sunderland's performance when he was manager.
What an absolute publicity-whore and a tool of a man. He used to be my fucking idol at one point. Feel ashamed now about the person he has grown up to be. Bitter till death I suppose.

It's all bullshit to sell a book - Pietersen is doing the same this week

Have to say I chuckled at his comments about Newcastle.

If I'm honest I don't pay much attention to keane now, still very bitter about how things ended. But il never forget him as a player and that night in Turin has to be his best. I still remember it vividly. Brother and sister was in bits when we went behind but I had this feeling deep down it was going to be our night, even pleased because the away goals would work in our favour from then on.

Ferguson brought the Japanese star to Old Trafford in his final season and despite initial struggles, the midfielder was starting to adjust to Premier League football. "I was very satisfied with Shinji. He settled in well and felt comfortable with us,” Ferguson told Bild. After former manager David Moyes’ decision to snap up Mata for £37.1 million from rivals Chelsea in January, Kagawa had no option but to move on and return to Borussia Dortmund this summer. "Every manager has his own philosophy. Moyes’ first choice was Mata and Shinji felt he couldn’t contribute anymore,” added Ferguson. “But I believe that he and Dortmund made the right decision. He is now back in familiar surroundings and (Dortmund manager) Jurgen Klopp can provide that extra boost of confidence in him.” #sadface

According to Fergie, it was DD who 'helped' Shinji leave by preferring Mata...
