Saw Roy Carroll being interviewed on SSN this morning talking about NI, always struck me as a really sound guy, been over in Greece for a while now with Olymp'kos. Great save against Spurs clawing that back over the line at 0T in bygone days. Lol.

Yeah Mendes wasn't impressed to say the least. I saw Roy Carroll on one of those Champions League tv programmes and apparently he's a hero to the Olymp'kos fans. Think he saved a penalty on his debut for them against their big rivals so immediate hero status. He was saying he loves it over there in Greece. Always had time for him, sound bloke.

Wilkins:
David Moyes will do an excellent job, but I fear for Manchester United this season," Wilkins told talkSPORT.
"Fellaini was a very good buy but I think they needed more players, especially on the European front.
"Every side in the Champions League has reinforced, and United have to a degree, but not as well as I'd have liked to see them do."
As Moyes inherited a squad that swept to the Premier League title by an impressive 11 points last term, it would be a major surprise if United were not contending again this year.
But Wilkins feels another of his old clubs, Chelsea, will regain the ascendency following Jose Mourinho's return.
"They've got every chance," he said.
"The return of Jose was a masterstroke. He and [Roman] Abramovich seem to have healed their rift and they have a squad who could go and win it.
"They look solid and have an abundance of players who can rip you apart.
"I fancy them big time."
Who care what you think Wilkins? You had the playing style of a constipated crustacean and the management credibility of Lord Percy. Do one!

Since it is a former player thread please can I mention a great hero of mine. Paul Mcgrath was the best reader of a game I have ever seen(Even better than Baresi). Lovely guy to this day. If he was playing today he would be worth 50 mill+. If the off field issues had not blighted this genius he could have been part of UTD folklore. Unfortunately he was moved on but in quiet moments I always think what could have been. I have not seen a better central defender in the premier league era than Mcgrath.
