Really don't mean any offence by it Tatty, but when was the last time your source has been right? De Gea, Young, Jones as well I believe. So nothing recent. I know it sounded sarcastic, but it was a genuine question. I keep reading how Tatty has said this and that, so I just wanted to know how reliable his source was. Like I said, I didn't mean to take the piss.

De Gea and Young deals were always on the horizon, talksport i believe were the first who definitively said young was signing weeks before anyone else ran with the story....don't remember tatty breaking the news about jones, didn't that one just come out of nowhere?
i'm not having a pop either BTW, tats been on the board longer than me so others will know more about the reliability of his source. i get the impression people are talking about seeing tat name a player before anyone in the media is running with the story

Didn't break Jones as I was in hospital with a gammy arm for the week he signed. Wish I could claim that one, but no.

Might as well just keep it to yaself from now on so Tatty.
Or start a Thread of your own for all your stuff and leave the other threads to get overhyped based on Twatter crap and links to "sports" websites with as much knowledge of Uniteds transfers as Jedward.

Some fan took footage of Powell scoring against Cheltenham from their seat at Wembley in this clip. Might be a video clip from their phone/ camera.
Looks like you need a pair of binoculars from there, but i think it's quite amusing when you hear someone say 'shush' just before Powell scores.
The Crewe fans do make a lot of noise obviously.

According to the mirror we have made a bid worth £5million & may loan him back to Crewe for the season...

Let's nick Powell: United make a £5million bid for the Crewe starlet
Fergie is so eager to beat the likes of Spurs and Arsenal to the midfielder he could even agree to loan him back to the Railwaymen for a year
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has made a bid worth £5million for Crewe whizkid Nick Powell in an attempt to beat off his rivals.
United have put in the first serious offer for attacking midfielder Powell, with around £2m guaranteed and potentially more than double that to follow, based on appearances.
Fergie has been on Powell's trail for weeks - as Football Spy revealed - and his play-off display at Wembley only confirmed their faith in him.
The 18-year-old scored a brilliant opening goal last Sunday as Crewe beat Cheltenham 2-0 to clinch promotion to League One.
Powell may be given permission to speak to Ferguson this week, but will not jump into the move as he wants to be sure he will be playing regularly at his new club.
United may agree to send him out on loan - even back to Crewe for a year - as they want to secure his signature because Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal are hovering.
Alex will sell if they get the right amount of money up front.
They wanted £3m guaranteed and expect to agree that figure in the next few days.

As you can see a proper tabloid article full of quotations! But it does say SAF has been allowed to speak with him & that it'll be decided in the next few days, got to be promising I suppose.

It would kind of make sense to let him stay at Crewe for a season, if that happens a lot of United fans will be looking at Crewe to see how Powell's getting on.

I reckon telling Crewe they can have him for another season on loan could well be a very classy move and one which they'd no doubt appreciate. They surely want their best players for their League 1 campaign. However, he'd develop pretty fast in our reserves setup as he'd likely get all the CC and F.A cup games Pogba would've gotten.

I think a season of League1 football for him wouldn't do him any harm.

Loaning him back might just do the trick and tilt this in our favor if it isn't already a done deal

League 1 would benefit him more as it's a higher level of competition than the reserves league.
