As a pure defensive option he's a good alternative. But as the ONLY midfield purchase this summer I'd be disappointed. Get someone like Thiago, Fabregas in first and he'd be a nice supplement to the team. Also an alternative to Strootman, we don't need them both. One of Strootman/Kondogbia will go a long way together with either Fabregas or Thiago (who unfortunately seems an unlikely transfer option atm)
It'll be interesting to see who we're linked with when Thiago signs his new deal with Barca. Hopefully it's a more offensive and exciting option than the likes of Strootman, Kondogbia, Wanyama etc.

Well, the exact same rumors circulating from gossip mags and ITK's who are saying he's interested in coming to United and has agreed to a 5 year contract are also saying Barcelona will be offering him a new contract with the promise of more playing time. Make of that what you wish. If everyone and their mum can state he's coming to United then I can certainly state he'll be staying at Barca no? Or are people not allowed to interpret things differently? IMO it's like the kettle calling the teapot black really. |

Absolutely NOTHING official has come out of United about Alcantara, apart from the fact that De Gea wants his mate to play with him. Which is the exact same thing happening at Barca with Pique coming out saying they need to keep Thiago and he needs to be patient. What I'm trying to put across is that WE DON'T KNOW SQUAT about what's going on. But as for now he's a Barca player and he's just stated that he loves Barcelona. If someone can assume that he's off to United based on the two last weeks of rumors then someone else can certainly assume that he'll stay at Barca for the same exact reason! |
