21 mil seems a good bit of business as well. It appears Ed may have figured out you can do transfer business prior to August.

Guys got to admit I don't know too much about Gundogan. Where do you guys see him playing? In front of the back 4 as a playmaker / destroyer I take it? In the Carrick role but with a bit more steel

He is as box to box as it gets, and a large part of the reason bvb made it to the CL final. Has had a few injuries in the last 18 months however. He's been on a lot of members' wish lists for some time.

This is a serious statement. A signing so early. LVG must have shoved a cracker up ed's arse.

So over four transfer windows we will have (maybe! No jinxes) signed: Juan Mata, Angel Di Maria, and Ilkay Gundogan?
Never mind the rest of our signings who have been excellent, this is fantasy stuff. Playing Football Manager you couldn't do it as good as this. I don't think I can believe it.

Only thing I'd be worried about is the injuries he's had in the last year or more. I've not really seen him since he's come back, but before that he was top quality as a box to box midfielder. LVG ideally likes those within his system.
In theory this move should be subject to one of the tightest medicals ever seen, but considering Hargreaves, Owen and RVP made it through, I'd imagine Gundog will pass with flying colours so long as he can cough whilst having his bollocks fondled.

I just thought of Herrera, Mata and Gundogan in the same midfield and nearly cried.

Bloody hell, if he's our first signing, it's a real statement of intent.
With the Adidas money down the line it looks like this could be another Hargreaves, Nani, Tevez, Anderson type window.

For everyone asking how he has come back from that unknown back issue from last season:

Think this puts Poggles on the back burner if It's done.
