Ridiculously classy decision. Ridiculously basic PR. Absolutely. Still did it. 2 of my friends are getting sorted out when they thought they had lost out. I expected them to get put in the ballet for a future home game 😂

Brugge is decent. Obviously it’ll get a lot harder so a handy one to start will help. I’d love a good addition to the squad to make this cup an easier proposition but we can’t have nice things.

Inter are the best team left in the competition. Let’s hope they keep challenging Juve for the league so that Europa remains far down the list of their priorities.

The other six clubs in Pot Two are Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Manchester City and Shakhtar Donetsk.
The three English teams cannot meet Liverpool in the group stages of the draw, which is set to take place on 1 October, and will be covered live, as it happens, on ManUtd.com and our Official App.
Both Pot One and Pot Two are now settled, with the final two pools awaiting confirmation after more qualifying ties.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE POT 1
Bayern Munich (Germany) Juventus (Italy) Liverpool (England) Paris Saint-Germain (France) Porto (Portugal) Real Madrid (Spain) Sevilla (Spain) Zenit St Petersburg (Russia)
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE POT 2
Ajax (Netherlands) Atletico Madrid (Spain) Barcelona (Spain) Borussia Dortmund (Germany) Chelsea (England) Manchester City (England) UNITED (England) Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine)

Seems to be a lot of flapping from the United supporting Twitter doyles about Romero being “frozen out” etc.
He’s not being frozen out, he’s always been behind De Gea in the pecking order and we’re now trying to give game time to a young keeper who could be our number one for years to come.
What’s harsh on Romero is that we didn’t come to an agreement to sell him, which seems to be largely down to us refusing to lower our asking price. That’s what is out of order, not leaving him out of the Champions League squad.

Got to be honest what is wrong with not lowering the fee? My understanding on these things is clubs won’t pay the high fees when wages are high, if that’s the case he needed to reduce his wage demands so he can play first team football. I rate Romero as a keeper, but if the arsenal keeper went for 20 million surely the 8 - 10 million we wanted for Romero is reasonable
