Sky sports app has let the story slip down the billings tonight! Same as the Fabregas story last summer!! If Mata joins will he be cup tied? I ask because if he can play will Maureen not worry about facing a rejuvenated Utd with a vengeful Mata? Yep. Played 2 CL games, and two Fizzy pop cup games.

Paul Pogba said he left Manchester United because he was "disgusted" Sir Alex Ferguson picked a right-back ahead of him in midfield and revealed it caused the breakdown of his relationship with the former manager. Having signed for Juventus when his contract at Old Trafford ran out in 2012, Pogba has been scouted by David Moyes this month but spoke critically of United in a Canal+ documentary about him called L'Incontournable and said he had no regrets about joining the Serie A champions.
Pogba, 20, never started a first-team game in England but thought he should have figured in the December 2011 clash against Blackburn, which was on Ferguson's 70th birthday. Ferguson had omitted Wayne Rooney, Jonny Evans and Darron Gibson after a night out and, lacking three injured central defenders, played Michael Carrick in the back four and selected a new central-midfield partnership of right-back Rafael da Silva and Park Ji-sung. And Pogba told Canal+: "It was a very, very difficult moment for me because I was in love with Manchester and I was a Mancunian.
"It was the match against Blackburn in December 2011 at Old Trafford. "Paul Scholes had retired, Darren Fletcher was injured. There was no one left to play in midfield. And I was training and I was beginning to get better bit by bit and the coach never stopped telling me, 'You're this far'. "And I didn't understand. This far away from what? Playing? From having some playing time? From getting on the field? Or what?
"And there was Rafael in midfield and I was disgusted. I was disgusted and I didn't get on either." United lost 3-2 to Blackburn with Pogba remaining an unused substitute and he said that day convinced him to leave Old Trafford.
He added: "I'd lost that thing, that relation that I had with the coach. I was really disappointed, really disappointed. "I was pushed. My eyes were opened. I'd made this decision to sign with Juventus. There was nothing to regret."

Juan Mata missed Chelsea training today as his move to Manchester United appeared to move a step closer. Jose Mourinho's squad were given two days off this week, during which time the manager underwent surgery on a long-standing elbow complaint in Paris. But he was back in charge at Chelsea's training base in Cobham, Surrey, today as his fit players, with the exception of Mata, were put through their paces. There are unconfirmed reports that a £37 million deal is already in place and that the playmaker will have a medical at United before the weekend. However, sources close to Mata have told Sky Sports News that this will be a difficult transfer to complete. The 25-year-old is likely to cost United a club a record fee, exceeding the £30.8m they paid to sign Dimitar Berbatov in 2008, and the club are adamant they will not break the bank to sign him. Early indications were that negotiations were going well with United desperately in need of a fillip in a disappointing season but the issue of price could prove to be thorny. Yet the desire for a deal to be agreed remains. Sky Sports' Spanish football expert Guillem Balague says all parties, including Mata, who has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge, want the transfer to go ahead. Balague revealed on Revista de La Liga: "The idea is that Mata, who Chelsea are happy to let go, goes to Old Trafford in this transfer window. "United have said no to the money - but I am under the impression that a deal will be reached because it benefits everybody. "United need quality, Mata needs to get out of the situation he is in, and it would reinforce United for their meetings with (Chelsea's title rivals) Manchester City and Arsenal, which is clever from Jose Mourinho." ____________________________ www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9128536?AGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However........... Manchester United have made a bid in the region of £35m for Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata. Mata, 25, has been linked with a move from Stamford Bridge having not held down a regular starting place since Jose Mourinho returned as manager. United deny making an official offer, but an initial bid has been tabled through intermediaries acting on behalf of the Premier League champions. Mata did not train with Chelsea's first team on Wednesday. More to follow. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25849959?

Im staggered Chelsea would potentially strengthen us, giving us a better chance of a Champions League place finish - thus allowing us to compete for the best players in the summer. There are other obvious reasons why this cannot happen, I do not believe it will. Benji, the Rents don't see us as a threat in the title race (for obvious enough reasons), allied to that they don't play us again this season so the Special One is being clever as Mata could play against the Bertie's and Le Arse. Also Jose M certainly didn't want Mata sulking on their bench for the rest of the season, that's how major rifts start, hence scuppering your charge for trophies.

Intermediaries? Hope it's not the same lot as we sent to Bilbao!

Intermediaries? Hope it's not the same lot as we sent to Bilbao! Cock at full mast with it being on BBC, but that intermediaries comment is weird. Woodward off negotiations? Or maybe busy elsewhere. Strange thing to say.

Maybe someone has already said this, but I haven't seen it. Why are our hopes up this much when Thiago last summer looked even more like a "sure thing"? Christ, De Gea even signed his U-21 match ball with "see you in Manchester". I won't believe the Mata thing until I see him lined up with red on.

Said it earlier today, the same sources who broke the RVP deal, all mentioned Mata last night at the same time. They're wholly credible sources, if there was nothing in it then the story would have come out sporadically. Also Chelsea's silence tells you a lot, they would have come out and seriously denied it, more so with the massive media coverage about it, they haven't.

Maybe the biggest indicator we might get Mata is Moyes hasn't said a fucking thing.
