He had a very good game. But as mentioned in the match day thread, if he wants to be judged by the highest of standards, he cannot lose Lovren for their goal.

I think Johnny is our best centre half next to Vidic, he's matured as a player and will be a vital part of our future. He has the capabilities to be a top class player, he is a natural leader on the pitch and always puts his body on the line.

Big fan of the lad. Said it many times, I'd not be surprised to see him take over captaincy (before Jones) when Pat, Rio & Vidic have left.

You know, looking at Hummels last night it dawned on me that if Jonny Evans were a German called Jonathan Effansberg, he'd probably be rated through the roof. Not saying he is as good as Hummels, but the two play an incredibly similar sort of defending.

Evans is a very talented and under rated Defender. Those slating the lad clearly know fuck all about talent. Just a case of "Well Person X said he was shit so i'll agree with them". He's second best to Vidic without a doubt. Jones will become better in time, I'd go as far to say he'll become one of the best centre backs in Europe in years to come.
Rafael - Jones - Evans - Shaw
Yum fucking Yum.
That's a defence made for stooping fucking everything and lasting a long time.

Really rate him. He has to play week in week out with a settled partner and we will all see a fantastic player. He has all the attributes to be one of the best Centre Halves in Europe. And what about that kick on Drogba that made him squeal like a hog being mauled by lions!

Can he play midfield? His distribution is as good as it gets.

Post his performance and red card v Citeh, he was an absolute revelation. Think I may have considered him one of the players of the season honestly.
Hasnt been getting as much game time as he deserves since.

Off to West Brom pending personal terms. Evans had his moments and was a case of being unable to string solid performances together and injuries. Also seems LVG never quite favored him.
He did however put cleats in that dirtbag Drogba's chest. Goodluck to JEvans.

29/08/2015 19:30, Report by Adam Marshall, Adam Bostock JONNY EVANS SIGNS FOR WEST BROM Jonny Evans has completed his transfer from Manchester United to West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee.
The Northern Ireland defender is a product of the Reds' Academy system and made 179 first-team starts, plus another 19 appearances as substitute, and scored seven goals. He won six major honours with United - three Premier League titles, two League Cups and the Club World Cup. Prior to his departure, Evans was the second longest-serving player at Old Trafford behind Wayne Rooney, having made his debut in September 2007 against Coventry City in a home League Cup tie. His last competitive appearance for United was as a substitute in the 2-1 away win over Crystal Palace in May. The centre-back, who has signed a four-year contract at The Hawthorns, will find familiar faces there in fellow ex-United players Darren Fletcher, Ben Foster and another recent arrival James Chester. Also, he plays international football with two of his new West Brom colleagues - Chris Brunt and Gareth McAuley. Evans told West Brom's official website: "It's a new, fresh challenge for me and one I'm looking forward to. I know a few of the lads already and I spoke to a couple, who highly recommended the club." His new manager Tony Pulis said: "This is a great signing for the club. Jonny brings a lot of experience and will be a big player for us - he's a player I've been watching for some time. We are delighted to have him on board." Everybody at Manchester United would like to wish Jonny the very best of luck for the future. www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2015/Aug/jonny-evans-completes-transfer-from-manchester-united-to-west-bromwich-albion.aspx

Still having a hard time processing the fact we have Blind playing centerback and sold Evans. Good luck Jonny.
