What I did learn from that game so far is Nigel De Jong still proves to be an utter cunt.

It's far too late for us obvious but I always liked Cambiasso as a midfielder.

From Inter I like Rodrigo Palacio. Think he is a good winger.

Great pass Guarin. Great finish Palacio. I really think we should take a closer look at Palacio. Although I think he is playing striker this game.

My 2 cents - neither are great and not what we need exactly to improve us "vastly" - they are good to be in as squad players but that's been the case with most of the names linked with us - not sure if they are really our targets or the Papers seem to have concluded that that's where DM operates - we have enough squad players and like i said earlier if we still want to go for those likes at least let's go for Real or Bayern or hell even Dynamo's squad players

Can't we catch a fucking break with mids? Our rumored targets are either injured (Gundo, Sami) or played AM(Herrera, Guarin).

I've seen him maybe 5 times over a few years so take from that what you will. I've seen him as a playmaker, attacking mid and even on the right once. He does tackle and gets about the park but like a lot of current mids seems more at home as part of a 3. He'd have thd mobility and fight to play in a 2 I reckon say alongside Carrick. I have only seen him once this year, when he was outstanding against Barca.
I've seen Guarin maybe twice and he's played in the 'Rooney' role on both occasions.

I'd say Guarin is more a striker or a second striker than a Mid from what i have seen. Herrera well he is more a Mid we could use. Could being here that he can control the ball ,take possesion from inside our half and string a few passes to get into the oppo box to look to score or assist and help out in defense but what he can't do or haven't see him do ( regularly) is hit those hollywood passes from inside our half to the wings - so that's defo a -ve in his skills. He, IMO is a mix of all our 3 Mid's in Carrick , Clevs and Jones.
IMO - Has the brains to look for passes to unlock or take the opposition out of the game with passes like carrick, the drive or ability to take the run into the box of Jones or go for the ball and the Box -to - Box of Clevs. but i have no idea what he prefers though and i do have doubts about his goals return ratio and heard his discipline is an issue.
But he has been a little inconsistent ever since he has been linked with us and that baffling transfer -
The problem is he is used to play one-two's and players off the ball movement and getting back the ball - if we aren't sure of how Kags fits in or make use of him can't see how much we can use him either - Not saying that Kags is the be all but like him Herrera depends on quick passes and suits fast paced counter attack with players making the runs not being static at the half line and long passes to the wings
