Golf can be a funny old sport at times. A player regularly comes along who looks unbeatable and like they're going to dominate for the foreseeable future. In the last 3 years that sentiment can be applied to Rory, Spieth, Stenson and Day, who at their best all looked pretty invincible.

There is huge strength in depth in the sport at the minute though. Even though I do believe Rory, Day and Spieth are the best when they're on form, the guys in the level below such as Dustin Johnson, Bubba, Adam Scott, Stenson all have the ability to win any tournament.

Furyk has shot a 58 at the Travelers championship! Breaking a record that he also held jointly for the lowest round on the pga tour. Great achievement!

Anyone else looking forward to the Ryder Cup this week? One of my favourite sporting events.
Fancy Europe again. Lots of experts giving the advantage to the U.S because they're on home soil and Europe have 6 rookies in their team but the majority of those 6 rookies have shown some very good form recently as well as the senior guys. Rory has won 2 of his last 3 starts and won the Fedex Cup in the U.S at the weekend so is in cracking form as well.
As much as the U.S team may appear to have more star power on paper, a lot of their players are having hugely inconsistent seasons. So I'm not convinced by them at all. Even Dustin Johnson, who's undoubtedly been their best guy this year blew up in the final round of the Tour Championship on Sunday.

Yeah, very irritating. They gave us a spanking in the first session though but a lot of that was down to poor play from us rather than them being outstanding. How Rory/Sullivan managed to lose their game is beyond me. Mickelson didn't hit a fairway all afternoon!
Don't know what will happen this evening in the fourballs. Wouldn't be surprised if we went out and reversed the score and took the session 4-0.

Aye he's an absolute wizard around the green. I'm just pissed because that match let down my four-fold! Even more pissed considering they were 2up with 4 to play and managed to lose the damn thing. What a tee shot from Stenson there on the par 3, so close to holing it. Need him and Rose to pick up the win here, will hopefully spare the rest of the team on. Also I'd like it because I backed him (Stenson) to be the top points scorer on skybet and they're giving a free £5 bet everytime the player you've backed wins a match.
