Gutted to see the news a few mins ago on BBC.
Given his past of admitting to abuse of prescription drugs and some heroin, I wouldn't be surprised if it is drug related.
Really sad news. Leaves behind 3 kids and a wife too.

Has he filmed the next Hunger Games yet? I read somewhere on the internet that they're missing a crucial scene that he was supposed to be in, in the last movie. I don't watch those movies, so I don't really care, but it must suck for the fans. Great actor, but Meh, this is what happens if you take drugs. My point merely being I have very limited sympathy for those who die as a result of drugs, if not for those drugs he probably wouldnt have, so the way he died is the major factor so it cant forgotten, yes its sad Because he was a good actor but at the same time was preventable had he not taken drugs. A mate who I used to work with sadly passed away yesterday due to a long battle with cancer so my compassion lies within people like him and not those that waste theirs. I Have compassion for the ones they leave behind and the pain they are left with, when you lose people close to you through illness it puts life into perspective. So I dont really care Moc whether I disgust you or not, its not being disrespectful, just an opinion. |

Compassion, sympathy and empathy can only be given to the living and to the memory of someone whence he was alive, but not to the dead.
So I can only say that I am a bit sadden to hear this news - but only because I am unable to fully appreciate his talents as some here can (which is unfortunate for me), it is also because I do not know him as a person and I feel that he was a successful actor with a family, and perhaps in my mind, he should have had a pretty decent life, and that he was able to achieve most of his personal life targets before his untimely passing.
It is always tragic to hear of deaths - any deaths.
Drug abuse is disease that requires a lot of these 3 emotive characteristics to overcome. It is a slippery slope that one you start sliding on, can be extremely difficult to manage and control. A lack of understanding to an illness leads to no progress for the cure.
The same goes for gambling addiction and alcoholism, or even something "small" like binge eating. Too much of something, is never going to be good for you.
Having said that - I know a few that are able to manage drug usage well, without becoming an overwhelming factor - just as cigarettes or weed. Sometimes, it isn't just about the substance, it is about the personality behind the abuse, the environmental and the psychological factors.
