Of course you can start a thread just chatting, it's been done before, but when some threads end up being full of bollox and it is in a thread that actually had some sort of a point to it for other members, then it will get locked.

I don't think there's a way of posting in a thread for people to chat without the post count to go up, I'm pretty sure we've had someone ask that before too?

^^ fair dos, I thought people had asked for a kind of chat box before but obviously this is a bit different, can't be bothered looking through 11 pages to see if someone has or not

We have the shoutbox up on matchdays of course, but besides from that we decided against an actuall chatbox to be up regularly. The frappr side though which have the Rep Of Mancunia map on it has it's own little chatroom too

yeah, I'd prefer not to have a chat box cos if you're not on you miss the action, with a thread though it all stays together and can be revisited whenever, it would probably die after a day or so anyway but I just thought it might be a bit different to just threads that have wandered off topic, now I think of it more though I doubt it'd really work so meh.

I have noticed in the General United section that there are currently 5 threads all chatting about Gabrielle Heinze........

"Heinze wants Liverpool move" (Traitor)
"Heinze on the menu for Toon"
"Real eye Gabby swoop"
"Heinze keen on Barcelona move" (Traitor - again - he's keen on any team connected to his name, lol)
"Gabrielle Heinze"

I propose each player be given a thread of their own - or sub board whatever it is called and any stories, gossip, facts etc etc can be placed under each players own name.

Easy for those posting to do so - and easy for those wishing to find info on one player.........

So what do ya think

Why dont we also have a list of all our "award" winning members on there? As and when ppl get on the site to learn more about RoM, they'll see how much the members mean to the forum and they'll join... think abt it
