So, I've spent the day constantly refreshing the guardian page on this story, expecting the 'imminent' announcement.

You would have thought the fact that a lawyer has been there thrashing out his leaving terms might give some indication as to the nature of the delay. Not VG's fault if the club are making his departure difficult. |

The same employment lawyer that handled Moyes departure has been at Carrington, local tea time news in Manchester saying there wont be an announcement today but its happening.

OK on van gaal... completely right decision for him to go. I'm sorry but in the end he completely ripped the joy out of watching utd for me, it was soul destroying at times. However with that said, he is still a human being and I'm hoping that in some way he knew what was taking place, was privy to the mourinho appointment and this whole sacking gig is not as classless as what is being portrayed on the TV and Internet.
