I'll never move on. Sometimes, in the dead of night, I can be found in the garden shed sobbing whilst googling images of him flying through a plethora of strikers with no regard for anyone's safety. Yeah, cheers Moyes.

He should only be captain once he masters Italiano first. But yes he'll be captain again soon.

Just re watched the Moscow game on highlights. Forgot how mental Vidic went at Drogba after the slap and we are fucking lucky he didn't get to him or he would have been locked up for what he would have done to him.
God I miss him.

Great player and a great captain but the injuries took their toll and he wasn't anywhere close to the player he was 3 years ago Will always be a legend though We need someone just like him - maybe Rojo the Red can be that psycho hardman that shits the life out of attackers with one look

Just seen the Vidic red card, thought it would have been for a cruncher.
Nope, sarcastically applauding the ref after winning a free kick.
Such a shit sending off.

27/12/2015 17:28, Report by Andy Mitten, Mark Froggatt VIDIC: WHY CHELSEA WERE MY BIGGEST RIVALS True champions appreciate worthy foes and for a born winner like Nemanja Vidic, Manchester United’s defensive rock of nine years and club captain of three seasons, it was the perennial challenge of Chelsea which remains his greatest test at Old Trafford.
During what he calls “nine wonderful years” with the Reds, the Serbian played 17 matches against the Blues, including the 2007 FA Cup final and 2008 Champions League final. It is the latter that stands out above the rest, as Vidic played his part in helping United lift the European Cup for the third time in the club's history. In an exclusive four-page interview that will appear in Monday’s edition of United Review, the official match programme at Old Trafford, Vidic reflects on a famous night at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium. “Moscow was the highlight of my career,” says Vidic, who now plies his trade in Italy with Internazionale. “To win the European Cup in a city where I’d lived, in the stadium where I played and against our biggest rivals at the time could not be bettered. People talk to me all the time about that game but to be honest, I’ve not watched it since. I would prefer to keep the memories in my head. I was there and I played in the game… I don’t need to see it on TV. “I remember the players rushing around after Didier Drogba had been sent off. He tried to hit me, he was frustrated. Then I remember the penalties, John Terry missing and Edwin [van der Sar] saving from Nicolas Anelka. Then there were thousands of United fans celebrating in the rain. “We won it the United way, in dramatic circumstances. The generation before me had won it this way in Barcelona. And in 1968, the game went to extra time. United don’t win the easy way, they win the United way. It was wonderful in the end.” Vidic admits he will watch United’s latest league match against Chelsea on TV, if his schedule with Internazionale permits it. So what does he think of the latest episode in the series? “Chelsea are in a really difficult position which is surprising,” he says. “They’re not doing well at all, but they still have so many quality players. United are in a better position and can challenge for the league. They’re not playing the attacking football like we used to watch but they’re playing good possession football. If my playing commitments allow I’ll be watching the game.” The full and exclusive interview with Nemanja Vidic can only be read in the Chelsea edition of United Review. VIDEO 05/01/2016 11:33, Report by Adam Marshall. Video by Steve Bibby. VIDEO: 10-YEAR TRIBUTE FOR NEMANJA VIDIC
To mark the 10th anniversary of Nemanja Vidic signing for Manchester United, we pay tribute to the former Reds skipper with an exclusive ManUtd.com video.
Vidic joined from Spartak Moscow and became a leader and warrior at the heart of the defence, making 300 appearances for the club and lifting the Champions League trophy aloft as captain in 2008. On this day in 2006, the Reds confirmed the capture of the Serbian in a statement after ManUtd.com initially broke the news of his impending arrival on Christmas Day. The statement read: "Manchester United is pleased to announce it has reached agreement with Spartak Moscow for the purchase of 24 year-old Serbia & Montenegro international defender Nemanja Vidic for an undisclosed fee. "The player has signed a four-and-a-half year contract which will see him at the club until June 2010." Sir Alex Ferguson added: "I'm delighted we have come to an agreement. Nemanja is a quick, aggressive centre-half and, at 24, will be a terrific addition to the squad." Watch the video montage to catch glimpses of Vidic's remarkable career at Old Trafford before he moved to current club Internazionale in the summer of 2014. www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Features/2016/Jan/nemanja-vidic-video-to-mark-10th-anniversary-of-his-manchester-united-signing-in-january-2006.aspx
