This was a crucial early deal to get wrapped up and if it goes tits up and the rents manage to steal him then it is yet more proof that it is a joke, for a club of our size to be so utterly wank when comes to concluding transfers
We're gonna be reminded of it for the next 15 years if he fulfills his potential for the rents and England
Really hope this one isn't dead yet but I'm losing hope to be honest. Esp after this Luiz deal
How can we be so incompetent in the market as opposed to Citeh and the rents. Say what you like about their overspending but when they want a player they, in general, dont fuck about like we do and get the deal wrapped up sharpish.
We are almost amateurish in comparison

They now have £50 mil banked, and you know Roman will spend it, all, plus whatever they had planned already. I'd take him over our Ed.

FROM BBC website 9th June 2014England full-back Luke Shaw told Southampton on the final day of the Premier League season that he wanted to join Manchester United. The 18-year-old defender spoke to the Saints hierarchy at an event held at a hotel following the 1-1 home draw with United on 11 May. By that time, United had already made a £27m offer for the left-back. Southampton will not consider allowing any more of their players to leave until a new manager is appointed. England striker Rickie Lambert has already been sold to Liverpool, while club captain Adam Lallana has been the subject of multiple bids from the Anfield club. Saints hope to appoint a successor to manager Mauricio Pochettino, who joined Tottenham in late May, within the next 10 days, with former Dutch international Ronald Koeman a leading candidate for the post. Shaw, though, has made his intentions clear. The youngster had been asked to clarify his future quickly, with England manager Roy Hodgson making it clear he wanted squad members to sort out proposed transfers before the World Cup begins on 12 June. Southampton, however, will only sell if the circumstances are right.www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27758163

Well now, apparently he is having medical, but price is 30mil, hopefully it pays of, if we buy him, which I can see that coming. But he really has a high price on him at such a young age.

Heard it's 27 mil rising to 33 mil with add-ons.
Not bad at all - his wage is astronomical though, if the 100K/wk is to be believed.
