I'm not really that interested in collecting memorabilia, but I would be delighted to get that shirt. Back then the players were still heroes to me, so on a sentimental level I hold that generation of players in higher regard than others that have come since. If your husband is roughly in my age range (a few years either side of 30), then there's a good chance he'll feel the same way.

Thank you for the idea but he has already renewed the season tickets. I for some reason like the turf from the ground. But then again i suppose a signed shirt could be more meaningful.

If you live in the Manchester area you could try a shop on deansgate opposite trailfinders. They have signed shirts and you can see before you buy. I've just passed it and they have a signed cantona in the window. I didn't see the price as I was over the road!
