Yeah, most of my family lives in Bloemfontein, which is more central and it's a pretty regular mission to head to the costal resorts in Mozambique - exceedingly beautiful and not that expensive. Road-trips up North are on my agenda, want to head through Botswana & into Zambia with decent 4x4 vehicles and a good contingent of mates at some point.
Been to Namibia too, a few times, but not yet Zim. It's a little, er, troubling over there under the monster that is Robert Mugabe - especially if, like me, you're white.
I heard my rents are heading to the Victoria falls in the next while though, so I'll be sure to find out what it's like there atm.

I watched Ewan McGregor's Long Way Down the other day - I have the DVD. Have you seen that? Him and Charley Boorman travel down through Africa on motorbikes. Bloody awesome.

Exactly, couldn't ask for much more really Rat:) Have you been over here a few times? Yeah, I used to go to S.A. several times a year for a number of years. Haven't been for about 4 years now and that was only to Jo'burg...I've been there, Pretoria, Cape Town, Bloemfontein (once), Durban and a couple of other places...love the country - not the politics... I used to stay with a friend of mine in Cape Town and we did his version of the wine route a few times...also saw Pavarotti perform at the rugby ground in Stellenbosch...long time ago now...hopping to get back there some time soon...

My mates say it was fantastic and Mugabe destroy Zim very quickly. Bulldozing peoples houses etc. The company I work for sponsored them.

Watch "Mugabe and the White African" - you can find it on YouTube. Heartbreaking.
