How would giving up one of 3+, #10's for a World Class box to box weaken us? See this is not quite accurate. CC never was, is and will be a true no 10. How many games have you seen Adnan play as AM to conclude he is one? Mata is the best and only proper play-maker in our squad. Letting him go is madness.. Vidal is world class obviously but what good is he if his knee is busted? Mata is younger and no long term injury concerns. My point is even if we were to sign Vidal, do it for straight cash.

How many true #10's that are world class are their? If we have Vidal we can play a 4-3-3 with a combo of Blind-Herrera-Vidal as the mid three, Di Maria-Janu on the attacking wings with Falcao central...gives us many more options having Vidal then having Mata in my opinion..

Not very many, which is why it makes sense to keep hold of the one we have

I like Mata, and if LvG could find a place for a slow #10, who gets pushed off the ball with ease, and doesn't defend then He would play him every match (insert Mou). But if we want to play attacking fucking football and dominate on both sides of the ball, then the slow footed slight one is not the best choice. Trust me when I tell ya, that Vidal will improve our options 10 fold, while Mata is only one dimensional...

Words fail me and I can't even think of a GIF If Mata is one dimensional, most footballers have none. He is not slow and slow footed? Seriously? You and I have very different expectations from an archetypal playmaker.. Contrary to being pushed off the ball with ease, Mata was running rings around defenders during his spell at Chelsea. It's the fucking way we setup and also fucking CC claimed a victim in Kags Silva doesn't defend but Citeh have no issues. We bring a Pogba or Strootman and Mata will excel in most games.

This is fair enough in big games but Herrera said his best and most comfortable position is as a creative/box to box CM. I read in an article stating that playing deeper means he is involved at all times and can dictate play..

Vidal is a midfielder ffs, not a fucking "#10" - why the talk about him and Mata in the same sentence? He's more like Robson than Mata. Love the guy but with Falcao a world class crock ? (hope not) I hope if we get Vidal (doubt we will) he's over his knee prob. Denis Law was a number 10 and arguably our best ever striker - is no 9 now the exclusive designation for a striker ? fighting trendyism: losing battle "a number 10" Vom. Friday night, had a beer or 3. You know I'm right. would love a fully fit Vidal and then I could say "am loving Vidal's assists".....
