‘No, we don't train too hard. We need to be fit,’ he told Sky recently. The standards in this league, you need to be fit, otherwise you can't match the standards that are required in a game. We don't train too hard.’ He added: ‘You need very robust players - that is the requirement. Erik basically admitting that the training sessions are probably part of the reason behind our injury issues. It is a bizarre approach. Rush players back from injury. Put them into intense training sessions. Put them on the pitch in a chaotic team that gets stretched end to end. Wonder why you get so many repeat injuries and so many new injuries. And then blame the players for not being "robust" enough. Yet more evidence that Erik is completely and utterly clueless. There is absolutely no point keeping him on another year. Even if we buy him good players he will just end up injuring them. Don’t think he’s admitting that there. He’s saying they don’t train too hard, the players aren’t robust enough. So the sessions aren’t at fault, presumably he’s ran them the same in Holland without injuries, we’ve just got brittle players who can’t cope with them. There’s no way Liverpool run as hard as they do and play as they have for the last few years under Klopp without exerting themselves in training. Maybe we could look at the substandard resources behind the scenes. Our training ground and facilities are out of date. That may well be contributing to the problem. There’s obviously a reason why other clubs, better run clubs than United, opt to upgrade their facilities. If you could be successful using shit that was purchased when Ronaldo was 17 then every club would do it on the cheap. Management and that, yeah fair play he’s shown us nothing this season from that perspective. But I doubt he’s out there in training whipping the players and running them like dogs. Anyway, isn’t it McLaren’s job to put the sessions on? Agree. Klopp spent years buying players where one of the top two or three priorities was their fitness and it leads to a cohesive team. We bought Casemiro and crock Mount. No wonder this lot can't run.

Fitness, character, family. He didn’t sign Jordan Henderson because he thought he had an awkward gait. I don’t know how much effort we put into this now beyond just “the manager has worked with him before” or players that the manager likes or older players who have won things before. Not just this manager, we’ve been cocking it up for years. Warning signs were there and were ignored with Sancho. Even going back to the likes of Schweinsteiger. I think putting it just on our training sessions with really no evidence that they’re anything more strenuous than the norm is simplifying a more complex problem.

Take Di Maria for example. Even though he was a top player Fergie would never have signed him as it was obvious he was dragged out of Madrid kicking and screaming plus he didn’t want to live in England(culture, climate etc.). and had decided to sign for PSG. The minute he signed it was obvious that he would be gone at the first opportunity(and he was). I can’t see this happening at all under the new structure.

If the sessions ain't the issue, but he knows the players ain't robust enough to complete them, yet continues to hold the same sessions..then it's pretty clear who's the problem

The fact brainsford has said Carrington isn't up to scratch for elite sport says it all really, Manchester United isn't up to scratch for elite sport, all of these issues run far deeper then any manager alone. Imagine the best golfer in the world having to play with donnay golf clubs and everyone else if playing with top of the range equipment, they wouldn't stand a chance, that's basically us.

Problem is, the caddy thinks those Donnay clubs are mint because last year he shot a -25 fluke.

How the fuck have we ended up with shit facilities? Typical fucking bean counters, that's how. They just ruin everything

I remember walking around in awe of how awesome the facilities were. Probably fuck all has changed and that must be close to 25 years ago.

Looking at some of that footage of OT, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets declared a hazard and ordered to close for repairs by the authorities. I think we are getting close to that

Owners don't give a fuck about the club why should I? Make money and fuck off. When a footballer steps into the Bernabeu, or the Allianz, the aura is breathtaking. Every inch of the place is treated with care. Even the fucking cheats across town have exceptional facilities.

What citeh have done surrounding the stadium is very impressive. Totally transformed the area. Have the gimps spent a dollar on anything surrounding OT? Have they fuck! Embarrassing. Even the away dressing room was flooded yesterday. We're a laughing stock.

It's wild that Ronaldo exposed the background stuff we wouldn't normally see about how behind the training ground was . Now that SJR has shown up he has blown the doors off and shining the brightest light on everything else to see how bad it really is, it just makes sense why we are where we are....
I mean I knew the stadium was getting old when I visited back on 2012 but jesus I couldn't imagine how much they have neglected after the scenes from Sunday...

I for one take back everything I said. He predicted this shit. He knew what was going on behind the scenes and I decided to call upon his professionalism rather than that of the club's. Never again.

Even the away dressing room was flooded yesterday. We're a laughing stock. Went past City on Saturday. My mum’s family lived in Bradford , right next to where the stadium is and the only thing that was left standing from that era is a derelict shop. It’s unrecognisable , not unlike the development in the City centre. Hopefully those embarrassing scenes of the roof have gone far and wide and will shame them into action.
