Chaps,
I was reading an Andy Mitten column and say this appearing all the way through it:
'This article is copyrighted to United.no. If it gets copied and pasted onto another website, we’ll act accordingly for copyright infringement.'
As someone who posts articles quite frequently on here can I just warn you to be on the look out for that if you were going to do the same. Apparently this is going to be happening a lot in the future so vigilange may be required.

Just follow Bestie advice, " Make sure to attribute the original author of the work, and you should be okay." I insert a lot of YouTube videos and the name YouTube is clear in the frame(s). But it's people who contribute to YouTube and depending on the video and how many likes it gets. If you notice that some videos in here from YouTube, when you click to play it will say either ' This video does not exist' or ' This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated.' To me that means YouTube are covering themselves (copyright). I have an account with YouTube so I am ok. When C&P always insert the source of the C&P. Some people insert such to give people reading it that it is there work. That's where the shit can hit the pan. |

That's why I always insert the source then people know it's not my work but I got it from somewhere else. A few years back on another United forum I seen some guy making blogs up and inserting them in the forum making it look as if it was his work. He got caught out as he went on Facebook and done the same on his wall. Members in Facebook kicked his arse and pointed out who the original creator was. He was reported in Facebook and his blogs were removed. He was also banned in that forum when the Admin/Mods found out. |

An update on this-
More and more sites are charging for their content. Which means more and more sites are looking for people who are putting their content up online for free. To avoid issues on this front we may need to stop any thoughts of copy and pasting on here. Plenty of papers still have free content so let’s stick to that.
PM me if you need any clarity.
