Yes, he may be a tool now but that man was a warrior for us...he had a nasty streak but he gave us a fear factor and he could actually play football...I can't be doing with the bitterness now but I'll always appreciate what he did for us as a player...

Great vid mate. What a player. Let's leave it at that.

Sometimes i think his anger and frustration is more to do with the fact that as a player he gave his all and as a manager when he sees players not able to do that or do what he could he's unable to handle it and conveys it exactly like his playing style - Hard straight on - the only way he knows.
Class player and a great Servant/Captain while he played

The brace at Highbury was the tits. He properly gave shit to the crowd after netting too. Lion.

Just an amazing, imperious footballer and captain.

That video makes me sad. Such a legend, tarnishing it with bitterness and petty grudge.
Sad.

The thing that I also find so sad is that people will remember Keane for being a warrior, but he was a brilliant footballer to go along with it. Some of the goals in the video, right foot and left foot; his passing; his reading of the game; timing of the runs into the box; his tackling.
Genuinely, a complete midfielder.

Yeah I think maybe some younger fans have the idea that he was just admired for smashing into people, but he was a thousand times more than that. Someone akin to Lee Cattermole could've never played in the midfield that Keano did. He had everything that was required of a midfielder and I dread to think how much he'd have been worth in the modern game. I believe Clough called Roy the best header of a ball he'd ever seen. Says it all really because that wasn't even his best attribute. It's a shame how it's all gone west because Keano should've been a god at this club for the rest of his days.

That's a great vid there mate! Actually just finished his last book, and the things being told in the media is just words taken totally out of context. For me, he was a great captain, a great player, and he loved Manchester United. I think he still does, in his own way. We will never fully understand the Keano way, but for me, all the hatred from our fans is misplaced. We should honour a great captain, who served us so well!

I won't read Keane's book but it's always true with the books that the media pick snippets & run with them. When you actually read them they aren't that bad. Keane's behaviour in interviews & punditry is enough for me to not like him though.
