That goes back to the old days when the old board (2006) was run by United buddy. Had good Mods who were active in the forums and kicked arses when needed but joined in all of the debates, just like in here. Then, as I said the Glazer mob took over and moved the board to London and a new board was created in 2007. We all joined that. But the new Mods in there and the company that run it destroyed it with no proper supervision and no vetting of new members (IP checks and what not) so anybody could join and it went downhill after that. A lot of us decent members like Eric carried on but in the end we got pissed off and left the Trolls, Muppets etc too cause havoc which they did and are still doing it now days. I closed my Audouc account down in 2011 and moved on.  IDo you mean the guy running it was based in London? The company or provider that took over buddy. Then the Glazer mob cut back on their budget which meant they could not update the forums on a regular basis and it went downhill after that. A lot of us got the impression that the guys that were running it (Admin/Mods) were not even United supporters and let the Trolls etc run riot. Anyway, nuff said on that. We could go on for ages about that. Let this thread be about new members and not turn it into a debate about the United website (Official) and that Glazer mob, they give me the shits. |

Hi Y'all! How's everyone? Just a short intro. Name's Eric...from Malaysia. Been a United fan for about 22 years. First game I watched was the epic 2-1 game where Brucey scored 2 headers against Sheff Wednesday. Fav player is Eric Cantona. That's about it I guess. A word to the wise: if you read Rooney's name on these pages, just ignore it. There are maybe 10,000 pages of back and forth on Rooney and it always ends in tears. Had explained this before in previous forums. My name splendid spy...how it came about? Let's see... erm... Well, as a Chinese my name is rather long. I have a surname followed by two other sub-names...(?) behind it. So I took the first alphabet from my surname as well as the first alphabet from my two other subnames and put it together. By coincidence, it spelt SPY. I used splendid because I was trying to find a suitable alliteration word that goes with spy... so splendid was used...That's how it goes,Splendid Spy!  |
