I have a dream of a centre back who can read the game and win the ball in the air, but also take it out of defence and beat two or three men.
Maybe Ronaldo can be that man.

Get him here, let him tear it up for 3 or 4 seasons, and wind it down as a centre back. #perfectplan or we could just stick with Smalling, one day he will get past the halfway line/second man and properly kick on

Ronaldo for me, he loves the fans, we love him and he is capable of another 3-4 years at the top easily. It'll be nice to have someone who is consistent at set pieces back as well

I'm up and down about Bale. I'd take him as a left winger but not as a right winger or forward. He's not that good at those positions.

Ronnie for me all day long. Yes, age may not be on his side, but given his fitness, he has atleast 6 years at the top level and then maybe he can play as a human being again for 3-4 years. Bale does fit into LvG's system. He has good experience as a wingback, right. Real wont offload both in the same season. SO, we can buy 1 this season and the other in the next

Ronaldo for me. Having one of the best player in the world is some feeling, Signing Ronaldo will also help us to attract other good players as well.
But I dont think Real Madrid would let him go.

Well if a player wants to go they will go...also we could remind Blatter how Real are keeping Ronaldo like a slave by refusing to sell him when he wants to go, as the fucking moron did when they came in for him and we refused to sell the first time.

Fuck me I feel old The boy has always looked after himself just like Giggsy and I can honestly see him playing until he's 40 assuming he's happy with his contribution at a top club - I hope he doesn't lower himself for a final payday in MLS and just retires when he's had enough

If one wasn't going to City I would go for Bale. Ronaldo, while I still absolutely love the guy, is 30 now. Not old obviously but means that we'd get one or two years out of him before he decides to retire, as for some reason I don't see him as playing on into his mid 30's. He'll have won every award and cup going (barring international competitions) and will probably decide to try his hand at acting or something.
However the thought of Ronaldo going to City makes me sick to my stomach and overrides any previous comments I have made.

Love Ronaldo, but i don't seem him leaving Real regardless. Plus i disagree with a few who say he could play on and do a Giggsy. Sorry i don't see that at all, Ronny will be off doing a Becks before you know it, modelling being the face of FIFA etc.
So for my reason why i dont think he will last long I'd have to go Bale,
