I'd take him. Just a thought if we are going 4-3-3 and LVG wants a target man, strong pace and someone who can hold up the ball.. then this lad could be our version of a Drogba in his prime! minus the dirty cheating

Would score goals I'm pretty confident about it. Only concern is price. Also worth noting I'd rather him than fellaini in the tactic of lump it up

Definitely would take him. Very good player with potential to be even better at a top team.

Strong and powerful and would certainly be a better option than what we currently have, and if we do get CL football we can't go into the season with Rooney, RvP and Ings...please God no.

I have a feeling Chelsea are going to sign Benteke as Drogba is leaving and Costa is injury prone. He is a typical Mourinho centre forward as well.

Not under any circumstances. Not agreeing or disagreeing, but why? I just don't think,he is of the quality that we need,Villa is about his level.

He would be my choice, if we are buying 2 strikers, considering we have 3 dead strikers. Would not punt on him being the first choice/only striker.

I just don't know if he's European Cup level, so I would prefer one of those first. Then again, I would prefer we find RvP's form Falcao's form as both are already (albeit Falcao temporarily) on our books, but there you go. Both of 'em are 30-ish so we need to think about long term replacements anyway. (Try Henriquez.)

Also,if we need a back up option to come off the bench & score goals, start the odd game here & there & score goals,we already have one,he has just been doing for Madrid, what he has been doing for us for a while.

I like Wilson and will champion all of our youngsters until categorically proven otherwise, but you can't make him your senior striker after a couple of appearences under Giggs and a season on the far fringes of the first team. Falcao and van Persie have been the big shoulders in the past, which is the big reason I think we should try to get at least one of them back to their best. It's as much reducing the pressure and burden on the breakthroughs as anything else. Also,if we need a back up option to come off the bench & score goals, start the odd game here & there & score goals,we already have one,he has just been doing for Madrid, what he has been doing for us for a while. Hernandez is far too limited a footballer for van Gaal. He'll be gone and rightly so. (Going by what van Gaal is looking for and also by the fact Hernandez is good enough to start every week for a lower tier team.)
