Hello all. My name is Mike; United fan since birth (August 1993, making me 21 going on 22 for those too lazy to work it out) due to father's allegiances, but we live pretty much as far away from OT as possible now - my Dad's parents moved to London so his Dad could work at Smithfields, and I've grown up in Kent. Hope that doesn't prejudice anyone against me! If its any consolation the nearest Football League team to my house is over an hour's drive away and the nearest non-league is still 30 minutes so even if my Dad wasn't a United fan I wouldn't really have a local club...
Favourite player as a child was Becks (got a signed shirt on my wall behind me as I type) but as I grew up and learned to appreciate football more Scholes became my joint-favourite. Got a soft spot for Ronaldo too. Apart from any Utd-related players my favourite is probably Vidal, which meant my heartstrings were tugged to breaking point last summer! They really will break if he joins Arsenal, but I still doubt it.
Outside of football I work in London as a researcher at a think tank. Like large swathes of my generation I want to move out into London but find it near-impossible due to price, so still living at home atm.
Few random things I like outside of football:
Lots of TV: True Detective (as shown by my sig, though I have yet to start Season 2), Game of Thrones (nearly picked Jon Snow over Rustin), House of Cards, Suits, Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother etc. Movies too, though not as much. I love going to the cinema Video games - PS4 is my console of choice but also have a 3DS. Fallout 3 is my all time favourite game so I'm buzzed for Fallout 4 in November. Play some FIFA (not so much this year, thought it was the poorest one since 06 which was probably the worst one ever) and a lot of Football Manager (though less so since I got a job), and love Assassins Creed too as well as more games than I care to mention.
As you can see I'm a pretty normal bloke really. Signed up because I wanted to have something to browse in the more quiet moments at work. I look at F365 a lot (used to post on their Transfer Blog under this pseudonym before they stopped doing it) but it doesn't update that much really so it gets dull fast.

Hadn't heard that, just saw them say on the comments of a gossip article they weren't doing one this year. I'll be posting there under this name so maybe you'll spot me, though it varies a lot whether I get published depending on who's moderating (Storey never likes my comments but Stanger and Briggzy post most of them).

I'd heard it was opening on the first day of the window, but nothing from the actual site now I think of it. I can't see them stopping it as the traffic it must bring will be huge. Stanger is alright, Storey is a bit of a tool. I prefer it when it's either Winty, or the work experience lads

They just do the crap 'Live Gossip' thing now that gets about 2 updates a day. Storey is a tool. He sounds awful when he talks about anything other than football. Winty is ok but can be a bit like Storey sometimes.

Me & the wife lived in Southend-on-Sea over the years off and on but now been back in Scotland for 14 years. I was born and lived in Tilbury (Docks), Essex before we emigrated to Australia in 61. My father came from Kent but don't ask me where. I can remember when I was a wee nipper he took me and my youngest brother too Kent and his navy base where he trained when he was a young lad before the war. He was in the Subs.
