let's ask that twitter lawyer Just did that for you mate. Here's his response: "Sometimes, it is better to interrogate the chihuahua you can see, rather than the llama that may or may not be an atheist. #its_a_process". Make of that what you will. I actually just checked for that reply

So, he is either doing a favour to Atletico or has no intention of leaving this term. In any case, makes the transfer more difficult for us. Pretty much, I've not really looked into the details of it. Maybe Rustin Cohle is the man to ask... Ha, am I the authority on all things Greizmann? Anyway yeah. He signed on for more money in return for the higher clause, benefiting both player and club. I doubt he has any intention of leaving - he seems happy there - but I doubt he is expecting a bid from us. I think if we paid the clause he would be happy to leave, but he isn't going to agitate for a move this summer (and probably not next summer either). The clause doesn't mean he won't leave - its more a recognition that he exceeded expectations last year and he therefore deserves a reward accordingly whilst simultaneously ensuring that if he were to go Atleti would get their money's worth. I believe if we met it then he would come to United - at the very least he would seriously consider it.

The lawyer is LvG in disguise. Both seem undecipherable.

I'll ask you if I ever have any Ander-related queries. Actually I have one now - why isn't he playing?

i agree with ratbag, it's no more difficult. more expensive sure, but it's the same process. pay offer buy-out clause, negotiate with player, sign contracts, keep new great player on the bench so rooney can start. simples I meant more difficult in the sense that if yesterday you could of bought a Sausage roll from Greggs for 80p, but didn't, then went tomorrow and it was £3, I'd be conflicted Not if you seriously needed that sausage roll...OK you were late getting it and had to stump up more but if you need it then just pay what it takes to get it... Or get a pork pie... [shit, I'm starting to sound like that lawyer...]

I know I can't knock the price down, it is what it is. We could all be Sports Lawyers, this shit is easy

Let's be brutally honest here- we need to win an awful lot more European Cups to make this even an argument. Or are we talking followers on social media or some such?
