Anyway. I think we go all in for this guy and Stones next summer. Griezmann covers all front position and is excellent in each of them. Stones and Smalling would be ridiculous. You're looking at 80 mill but we'd win pretty much anything we wanted.
You could have
DDG
Darmian, Mike, Stones, Shaw
Morgan, Schwein/Herrera
Memphis. Griezmann, Mata
Martial
That is lethal.

That team would be one of the best around but also look how young it is. Could grow into something special

As Stewart says, this guy and a CB wins us silverware. Hell, even without the CB I think we win the PL. He unlocks defences for fun against Spain and has done it against the big teams and the small ones. He gets goals, assists and 'key passes' by the bucket load. £50m (rumoured release clause) would be a steal in today's market. He is definitely a United fan and I hope he wouldn't go Real/Barca from Atleti so the only team I see competing with us for him is PSG in his home country.
Memphis/Greizmann/Mata/Martial is at the very least the joint best front 4 in the PL with Aguero/Silva/KDB/Sterling, and we'd have a better back 7. It can also compete in Europe, and in 2018 (Memphis aged 23?, Greizmann 27, Mata 30, Martial 23?) it would probably be up there with what Barca and Real's front 3s are now (though not even our 4 will reach the heights of Ronaldo admittedly). Greizmann & Martial will also win the World Cup that year so a cheeky treble 20 years on from the last and a French World Cup win 20 years on from their last one would do nicely.

Says a lot about the lad that publicly he's been very pro Atletico. No desire to leave. Seemingly very loyal. If we do go in for him it needs to be fast and not protracted. Give them what they want.
Failing that if Lacazette has another good year then he'd be wicked addition. Also fast as fook.
I also echo the sentiments about Stones.

Clause is still only 70m GBP. We have a whole lot more. See 'imminent' bids for Neymar and Bale The timing is suspicious, a day after the ban, reports of a new deal? Also, why not make buy out prohibitive, say like 150 Euros? Smacks of getting better value should Griezmann choose to leave.
