Has anyone checked out Narcos yet? Netflix new TV Series which focuses on the life of Pablo Escobar?
If so lets discuss.
I have watch it in it's entirety, I don't want to say what I thought of it right away as it might set a negative tone to the discussion.

I watched the first episode the other week and haven't gotten around to watching any more, yet. I enjoyed it and think they have another winner.

It's quite exciting, perhaps a little more so than the original story but still a good rendition.

I really enjoyed the the Columbian aspect of the series, didn't like the narration, felt it treated the audience like idiots.
The actor who played Pablo was stunning, one of the best performances I have seen.

Finished watching it a couple of weeks ago, absolutely loved it. Although despite all the horrific violence it did kind of still make me want to me a Colombian drug baron. I'm too impressionable.
Funnily enough some of his huge villas are actually still in existence, albeit decaying and overgrown with vegetation. Also the guy who played him was absolutely fantastic, really menacing yet charismatic, exactly as Escobar was. Although apparently his Spanish isn't great, particularly his accent. Obviously a non-native Spanish speaker is unlikely to notice that but the actor himself is Brazilian so his native language is Portuguese, rather than Spanish.
I actually enjoyed the narration, it helped connect the story together and let you know what was going on in the background, as there was so much random violence going on that it would have been hard to fit it all into the show... and probably made it too graphic.
Loved it. Can't wait for the second season.

Spoilers, including Escobar's end after the point the show is at, in white below:
Watched it in a week after it premiered. Really enjoyed it. A fairly easy watch but still very deep and involving. Excited for Season 2 although I thought they ended it at a weird point. The end to S1 should have been the end of the 2nd last ep and Escobar's death the next ep. He only lived another year so I assume they are gonna kill him off early doors in S2 for the shock factor, but it just seemed like a strange ending point to me. Other than that I thought it was brilliant.

Yep agree, thoroughly enjoyed it. But knowing a bit about the real story, it was a very strange point to end the show. Those having withdrawls, this might help. My friend saw it the other night and raved about it:

Maybe a spin off is in the mix or the potential of an extended edition.
