Woodford reserve + Jerry Thomas bitters + simple syrup + ice = the old fashioned.
What I've been drinking tonight. Lovely.
For you guys, check out the whiskey exchange website. Can get anything on there. I go mexico on Saturday and I'll be buying diplimatico rum. Very nice, even if you're not a rum fan.

Trying to decide whether or not I like Laphrioag, massive ammounts of peat and smoke, school night too, which doesn’t help, can’t drink enough of it to arrive at a decision!

I could do with a couple of shots myself. Shame there isn't any in the house!

Don't know how much you rate Old Parr in the UL but I have drank a lot of that shite atm and boy it feels good.
First time I have fun drinking without getting sleepy or getting amnesia.

Whiskey friends.
Today I have purchased and tried the new Jack Daniels Tennessee Rye.
Now I want to offer advice.
Buy it.
I think its the best Jack Daniels yet. Goes down smooth and very easily. I can't get enough. In sainsburys now for £25.

I thought it would be a bit harsh with it being 45% but it really is so easy to drink. Which is probably a bad thing.

Which is probably a bad thing. A very bad thing. I was on a single malt the other week, the evening was going great until I started on that. I remember the first one, after that, fuck all. Absolutely nothing. My mate had to take me home. Apparently I was falling over, couldn't stand up. Legs were gone. I busted my knee up pretty bad. I left my coat in the pub with my house keys in it. The sense of dread when I went to collect it was terrible! Had I been a pleasant or nasty drunk?!! Landlord just laughed at me and said I just stood there swaying and smiling! Fuck you whisk(e)y!!

Roll on Christmas/New year as that's about the only time of the year I will indulge in that beautiful stuff....sigh.

Of course it is...one of a number of superb Islay malts... I love that style of whisky but it isn't to everyone's taste... I am travelling this weekend on business (back next Friday) so I will be perusing the duty free as we are fast running out of good stuff to drink...

I like the smokey stuff but this one doesn't taste as strong.
