Glenlivet 15 for £33 or the 18 for £50. Which one would be better value for money? 18 all day.

Anyone out there tried Bunnahabhain? It’s an Islay malt and I have just started a bottle. I think it’s really nice but my wife thinks it’s a bit bland. Granted it doesn’t have the same full flavour of Lagavulin but I prefer it to a lot that I have tried.

Just had my 50th Birthday, had a delightful day our in my local with friends. Awesome time! Was given a lot of whisky, 9 bottles in fact, so now have a wee collection. Highland Park, Auchentouchen (spelling), Glenlivette, Bowmore, Balvenne Peat Week, Old Pultney, Jura, another Highland Park and one I can't recall.
Delighted ;-)

I'll give that a go - I've been either doing 50/50 with coke or just straight up out the bottle

Aware I am talking bourbon not whiskey so throw me out if I'm breaking laws!
Not much of a whiskey drinker, but my Dad is. When I went to the US in 2018 I got him a bottle of Blanton's bourbon and he loved it, said it was right up there with some of the best whiskies he'd had. Managed to find another bottle for Christmas this year.
Just wondering if anyone here who is much more versed in the liquid than I am knows of any similar brands I could introduce him to?

I got a bottle of Woodford reserve bourbon for my birthday and it was fantastic. I think it’s available in quite a few places. You could check out the world whiskey awards, they have lots of sub categories. The Irish ones they choose are almost always spot on so the bourbons would be equally good and not ones you might know. You could order some of them online I imagine.
