He seems like a bit of a showy, vacuous tool at times but I like that he's a local lad who has come through the Academy and made it into the first team. He'll never be first-11 starter quality but he's a solid rotational option.
Plus I guess who am I to criticise? He's just won the FA Cup and probably has those lovely big fun bags in his face every night.

I'm gonna be non-sexist and sexist in the same sentence:
She can wear whatever she likes and be proud of her assets, but whatever your thoughts, you wouldn't complain if they were swinging in your face

Manchester United forward Lingard hits the gym to 'kick on' next season Jesse Lingard is 'hungry' for more success at Manchester United and has hit the gym to ensure he kicks on again next season under Jose Mourinho. The 23-year-old has already proved his dedication by embarking on an intensive close-season fitness programme with friend and former West Brom footballer Akil Grier. The Warrington lad headed back to Carrington this week with personal trainer Grier, who revealed on Instagram he has gained more muscle mass ahead of pre-season training next week. Grier, also 23, praised Lingard for his commitment and revealed details of their work together. He told M.E.N. Sport: "I used to play football myself until I got injured so I've known Jesse for quite a while. "He messaged me a few weeks ago as he follows me on Instagram and we decided to see what we could do together. "Jesse is extremely humble. He's so hungry to do well at United, he wants to kick on next season, especially after scoring the winner in the FA Cup final. He had a great season and now wants to get to the next level, which he will do." Grier, who owns TattedMuscleApparel , added: "Jesse wants to put on a bit more quality muscle. Because I've got a good knowledge of football, I know what works and what is needed. "The sessions are about an hour roughly and are high intensity. "They contain strength work, lifting and focusing on when you get tired. "There's been a lot of power work, sprinting, shuttles and endurance and he's responded really well. We've still got a way to go to get to where he wants to be but he's improved dramatically and is so dedicated. He's an excellent professional." United players are due to officially report for their first sessions with Mourinho on July 6 and 7 but Lingard has enjoyed a head start. Lingard even endured a late night training session at United's Carrington training complex, as he prepares for more competition in United's attack. He enjoyed a breakthrough season at United, establishing himself as a first-teamer for the majority of the second half of the 2015-16 campaign on the right wing, while also enjoying a spell as the team's playmaker. Lingard made 40 appearances last season and struck six goals. He also scored a brilliant FA Cup final winner against Crystal Palace to clinch United's first trophy in three years. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-news-jesse-lingard-11553088

^ Brilliant, and from what I am reading, there are a large number of the younger players who had it crappy under the D.D. who are spending a great deal of time in the gym.
The whole freeking club is chuffed and ready to go out and wipe out the taste of the last few years under boogle-eyes and Mr. Possession, can only hope that Captain Tater is enjoyi8ng lots of toffee and beer and will end up run over in the charge by the youngsters that just wanna wear the kit of the greatest club in the world and play some football. As Ander said in his spontaneous interview "The best defense is to ATTACK!"
