I do think a player can still be considered great without having won a bunch of trophies - there are so many examples of great players who, whether we find it hillarious/pathetic, either didn't move to trophy-winning clubs or simply played in barren periods. E.g. Kane & Shearer, to make a very rudimentary point. Players dont win trophies by themselves. They contribute to them. Obviously trophies will make contributions look a shit load better but the ability of a player isn't solely measured by trophies. As you've mentioned Shearer and Kane are two perfect examples of this. |

off the top of my head.
I wasn’t 100% sold on greenwood but now we will never know.
was 100% ETH (jury’s definitely out)
didn’t want sancho(correct)
didn’t want mount(early days but probably correct)
thought Casemiro would be good for about 2-3 seasons(incorrect)
always though rashford was massively overrated(correct)
thought Antony would be far better than he is(incorrect)
about 50/50 for me.

Bestie was 1000% right, as was Cristiano. This manager is fucking clueless and things are going to get a lot, LOT worse. Come back bud, some of us have brought some pie we’d like to share.
Casemiro has devastated me with his volte-face performances this season. The man has earned a move back to Brazil or the MLS.
Antony should be sent back with him.
Maguire has earned my humble apologies these past months. He’s handled so much criticism with class and maturity. He’s not a very good defender but he’s been dignified.

Bestie was 1000% right, as was Cristiano. This manager is fucking clueless and things are going to get a lot, LOT worse. Come back bud, some of us have brought some pie we’d like to share. Casemiro has devastated me with his volte-face performances this season. The man has earned a move back to Brazil or the MLS. Antony should be sent back with him.
