Gillett also let a lot of niggly stuff on both sides go that should have been called (like legitimate fouls). I know its the grand final and you want leniency but this was a bit too much, then he'd call small stuff. Also what happened with the flares, one minute Sanchez scores, next minute its just clouds, did someone let rip all the pyro at once lol

www.brisbanetimes.com.au/business/media-and-marketing/foxtel-to-strike-channels-deals-with-man-utd-arsenal-liverpool-and-others-20160501-goj8i5.htmlso they're trying to buy the club TV channels TV rights like sky here is what Optus should do: 1. Sell it to a free to air channel kind of like how the prem shows on NBC. Channel 9, 7 and 10 would be mad not to get on this, especially channel 10 actually, if they lose the big bash (which lets be honest, TV rights for the big bash will probably go back to 9), they could buy the a-league to be their main sporting league (actually even with the big bash it should be, 7 has the AFL, 9 the NRL, 10 would be logical for the A-league). Anyway if 10 won the TV rights deal and showed all games live (6 games live a week) then Saturday and Sunday night would be seamless, Football coverage from late afternoon into the night and into the morning. That would be huge for ratings for them also, Premier League on free to air plus a-league, that would do in the hundred's of thousands per week provided they get a good commentary team. SBS could just buy off the rest of the EPL, that might revive the damn thing, though after their shoddy job with the A-League and 2 years of Basheer they can bugger off 2. Fetch TV seems like its going to be a thing, but they can't do that exclusively, barely anyone will buy it for that alone, and no one is changing phone plans for just the EPL, especially now that Bein is included in foxtel 3. Optus starts a rival to foxtel, though this would be hard, not sure if they could offer the same channels like MTV, comedy channel, sports channels etc. If they could somehow, magically get rights to the music channels, kids channels, entertainment packages (lets say they bring in HBO and FX) and then on their sports package offer the EPL maybe that works, but i highly doubt foxtel is giving up their monopoly Most reasonable solution is selling all the games (live, though some would have to be shown on delay for obvious reasons) to a major channel on FTA + Fetch TV seems the most reasonable solution

On a much more sombre note
I really hate to report this but young Australian keeper Stefan Petrovski has passed away this afternoon at the age of 18.
On the 6th of April he was struck by freak lightening during a training session for his side Malacca United.
My condolences go out to his friends, family, teammates and all parties involved.

How much does that cost and is the football extra.

Jelous cunts. what is it with the AFL people and wanting to do as much as possible to deride football and make life difficult for football fans and the teams, this includes the AFL administration themselves and the whole world cup bid where they tried their best to derail that also biggest bunch of insecure cunts i swear

www.foxsports.com.au/football/former-socceroos-captain-lucas-neill-declared-bankrupt-in-the-uk/news-story/89fdb07f043b7a08052d971641893241So Lucas Neill is apparently broke honestly should have stayed in the A-League or gone into coaching. I know his Sydney FC stint wasn't great but he could have gone to a team like Newcastle or the Mariners and been decent for a bit then gone on to earn his coaching badges and in all honesty, he would make a good coach. Since Holger has been sacked, the player that has suffered the most as a result is Neill, went from Captain to literally not being selected for the world cup or asian cup. Hopefully he comes good because he is a legend of Australian football and it would be nice seeing him do something in Australia to help the game in some capacity

Chris Herd signing for Perth Glory has been confirmed
If Lowe can't deliver with that team surely he gets the sack, that is one of the best teams on paper to ever play in the A-League (though it is also one of the most injury-ridden)
