Why is everyone so emotional over Zlatan!? What the hell is going on. He's a 36 year old mercenary who put in a good year for us. He won us the League Cup and popped in some nice goals for us along the way. Thanks for the memories but we need to get younger and better. Probably the fact he's a legend of the game and a huge character. Same with Schweinsteiger, except Zlatan helped us win a couple of trophies. They're just well liked and respected footballers.

I respect him and he's a legend but some perspective is needed. He played one good year for us and that knee injury has unfortunately derailed his career. I hope he does well with the Galaxy.

Can’t we just say good bye to the guy without the bullshit? Seriously, not every thread has to turn into carnage. Some people loved him, some were indifferent. He was a good guy, played pretty well. I’m sorry we didn’t get him earlier. We won him a European trophy which was damn cool for him and us. I hope he does well in L.A.

Don't understand why there's any negativity towards him 2bh, for the time he was at the club he was a character that entertained and without him we wouldn't have finished in the top 6 let alone top 4 and probably wouldn't have done so well in Europa either.
Considering he was 36 and banged in 29 goals and assisted a few aswell in one season says a lot about him as a footballer and a person.
Nothing but respect for the guy.

I think everybody respects him here for his 1 year tenure. What is bewildering and ridiculous is hurling abuse at Mourinho for his departure.

Well yeah, he's copping a lot of shit right now and for the best part of it rightly so but this Zlatan situation isn't one of them. Think a lot is just down to circumstance, his injury is obviously still not 100% recovered from, whether that's mental or physical only he knows, he clearly feels its the right time to leave so that's on him, nobody else. Would have liked to see him stay until then end especially if we get to the FA Cup final. Would have been a nice was for him and Carrick to go out.

Would love to see him in the World Cup, maybe that’s partly why he went to LA to give himself a chance for some match time

Farewell, Zlatan. You left good memories here. Looking forward to see your new interviews about the MLS.

Thanks for the memories but we need to get younger and better. Maybe you must have missed the part where we signed Lukaku? He has had a good season with us and people are entitled to have their opinion on which way they want to say goodbye. Why can't you just leave it at that and focus your anger elsewhere?
