Anybody see the bit with him on SSN? Taking all the blame for him not playing, saying it wasn't a problem he had with the manager, it was him. He wasn't doing what he needed to be doing and he's worked hard to get to the level required. Absolute class act on and off the pitch. Hope he continues to take his chance because he's going to be a hell of a weapon for us going forward. So basically what me & Bestie have been saying for a while now, when everyone else has been wetting themselves over it?

I can't speak for anyone else but I certainly haven't been "wetting" myself over his situation.

| FOOTBALL NEWS09/12/2016 09:31, Report by Adam Higgins MKHITARYAN HOPES TO CONTINUE GOOD FORM Henrikh Mkhitaryan is confident he has more to offer Manchester United, after scoring his first goal for the club in Thursday’s 2-0 Europa League victory over Zorya Luhansk.
The Armenian opened his account with a fine solo effort that broke the deadlock early in the second half as the Reds booked a place in the last 32 of the competition in sub-zero Ukrainian conditions. Mkhitaryan's performance was enough to secure his third official Man of the Match award in four appearances, as voted for by followers of the club's official Twitter account @manutd.
Henrikh, who caught the eye with 23 goals for Borussia Dortmund last season before his summer move to Old Trafford, insists he will do all he can to keep up the momentum from his recent displays. “I will try to do my best," he told MUTV in Odessa. "It’s going to be hard but I will always try to do my best, to try to get the maximum that I can do and it doesn’t matter how many goals I will score, the most important thing is to help with the goals to help the team create good results. “To be honest I was a little bit, not shocked, but it’s a long time that I didn’t score so it’s little bit like something new for me. I can say that I got the ball in the middle of the pitch, I was going forward, I saw Wayne [Rooney] creating space for me, and I couldn’t give it to him anymore so I decided to dribble myself. I went one-on-one against the goalkeeper and scored the goal. “I’m very pleased and very glad that I’ve scored today but the most important thing is that the team won because it was an important game for us. Thanks to my team-mates that they gave me the opportunity to score and have good memories again.” It didn’t come as a shock that Zorya would wait for United to attack, but Mkhitaryan believes his goal came at the right time. “They were playing very defensively but we were ready for that," he said. "It wasn’t a surprise for us – I think that it was hard in the first half because we made a lot of mistakes so we couldn’t make the last pass the right one to score. But in the second half when I scored the quick goal at the beginning of the second half I think it helped a lot.” With the Europa League now on the back burner until February, the Reds can fully concentrate on a busy schedule of festive fixtures in the league and the two-legged EFL Cup semi-final against Hull City. "We’re going to be focused on the Premier League and cup games now but as you know I’m always ready to play and create some good performances,” Mkhitaryan added. www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2016/Dec/Player-reaction-Henrikh-Mkhitaryan-reflects-on-Zorya-Luhansk-win-in-Europa-League.aspx

goes to show in many ways it's not just about the talent, you need mental toughness, the ability to listen, a drive to succeed and hardwork, it all pays off. Mr Memphis please take note and stand up within 4 weeks, this could be you!!

Needs a full 90 no matter how it goes, if he doesn't get his chance and he goes on loan, it 100% has to be to a PL team with a must play every fucking game clause in there.

Not just a ten minute cameo either. we saw from some cameo's what Mhki could do. you and I both know in 10 minutes you can do something to make people take note. that aside he might have to up his game in training. If what he is doing is training isn't enough then he has to do more, knock on the coaches doors, ask what more he can improve on, do anything it takes. Thing is with Bastian we saw character, he was banished, he kept positive, kept quiet worked hard and earned abit of a reprieve, with mhki he listened, kept quiet, got fit worked hard and we can see some fruit be it early days. Memphis whilst I am not in training so hard to comment on his training just has to do more, it's a new manager and most of those that were not sold in the summer where told to show what they can do. there is no doubt a player but he has to want to show that player more than you and me and with the last few years we have had unfortunately we have no time for passengers, we need performers, consistency, fight, skills, goals, mental toughness, wins, clean sheets, trophies etc

No, you can't. Especially when those ten mins at the end of games are when we've been trying to shut up shop.

I think he can do more, you clearly think he can, he just needs to show it. starts on the training pitch, hit the right note there, get a chance and take it. he hasn't taken his chances. even if we are shutting up, he has the pace to break from defending? especially as he is fresh and his legs are strong.

I'm conflicted, I do agree with what you're saying but I honestly believe if he was afforded the same chances as certain other players he will be a real asset for us. From the things he's been saying in the social/media he's got a great attitude, so I'd be surprised if it's from lack of effort in training that he's not getting a sniff, And Jose knows at the moment he can't take too many risks with an off-form player. Comparing him to Micky at the moment is just daft though, one is in the prime of his career and was the best player in one of the top 3 leagues in world football, the other is a kid who had a decent season in Holland and had all of his natural tendencies stripped away from him.

it would be really interesting to know why exactly memphis hast turned into another player since joining united. he was the best player of the dutch league and suddenly he forgot how to play football. i agree that he should be given more chances but so far, all chances he got he disappointed. he doesnt look really fast, he is losing the ball whenever he tries to dribble past someone, his passes and vision is nothing special, his shots/free kicks/corners usually end in the stands.
yes send him loan to another premier league club but even if he shows good performances elsewhere, i dont see him starting over mkhitaryan/martial/mata. even rashford on the left side is better and more effective than memphis. i just dont see a place for him in the current squad anymore. imagine if griezmann comes in summer, where do you wanna put memphis? reserves? always wanted him to succeed here but in 1 1/2 years not once have i seen the memphis from the dutch league
